The plug stopped working but cord is still good: I have only ever purchased Yamaha receivers but tried this one based on reviews. Great quality and functionality. I do have a Samsung TV and there is a weird glitch with this tv amp combo and it will every once in a while switch functions. Other than that very happy with it.

Ryan Putt: This receiver has been a great addition to our home sound system. It was easy to setup and the sound quality has been exactly what I would expect from this unit. My only real issue with it has been the apps functionality. Occasionally it does not recognize that a receiver is present despite everything working just fun on the receiver itself and all indicators on the display showing everything to be as it should be. There have been a couple times that zone 2 channel we use for our outdoor speakers will just stop playing even though the unit display shows that I am connected to it and that it is still playing. Overall, I am happy with this receiver and would recommend it. I just think that Onkyo should update their apps functionality to make sure that it works as it should whenever I want to use it.

Aerin Kirwin: Picked this baby up for $318, does far more than I need at the moment, but wanted the ability to add ATMOS in the future. I read that the volume has to be turned up rather high before it get loud, but I can tell you that once it hits 70-80, its PLENTY loud without any of the hiss or audible distortion you usually get when turning up an AMP this high (any higher and Id prob get neighbor complaints anyways). One thing to be aware of is that the crossovers on the main channels are preset at 100hz. I have fairly nice speakers and was confused at the lack of really deep bass until i stumbled on the crossover settings (on screen menu) and changed them to full spectrum. Once i changed that, WOW! VERY happy with this receiver

unL33T: Really love this receiver and paid half of what I've seen it listed for in store. Very happy with my purchase.

Only thing I found a bit annoying is the component input only supports 480i, not 480p. Considering all the other features I'm surprised by this.

Had to knock one star off as after owning it for just over a year I've noticed it clicks now and then for no reason. Like the same sound the relay makes when you power it on.

Amazon Customer: My old receiver didn't support HDMI CEC.. this one does.. meaning.. 1 remote works for pretty much all of my equipment (everything but the 1960's record player!) Plenty of HDMI inputs means I can plug in plenty of sources.

Overall it was quite easy to set up. With my old unit, to do something like "listen to radio" you would have to press the top secret button sequence, hop up and down on 1 foot, bark like a dog, spin in a circle and plead and beg. WIth this? Press "tuner" on the remote. Switch to my laptop input? Press. PC.. easy!

Love the bluetooth feature. Casting some Chumbawumba music to the system as we speak from my cell phone! (note, the casting does audio only, no video).

No reason to pay an extra $200 for this year's model or full price for a competitor's product.

Very satisfied for the price I paid.

@peterforint@peterforint: Pros: Sound quality, ease of use, value (on sale)

Cons: USB should be on the front.

Picked this up for $318 over the "newer version 585" is $498. Arrived in two days.

Over the holidays I installed a new pair of Polk in-ceiling speakers as my first rear-channels and was disappointed to discover my previous receiver (Harmon Kardon AVR-10, circa 1998) was obsolete, not supporting 5.1 (just older versions of Dolby surround).

The Onkyo was super easy to configure with its included set-up mic. It sounds great through my old Signet front L-R-C and Audio Research powered sub and the new rear in-ceiling speakers.

The remote is perfect with just the right amount of controls for selecting the source. Notice the two game buttons: the upper is for HDMI (i.e for the PS4) and the lower for RCA (i.e. for the Wii which we still play).

Get yours before they're all gone!

Levicus Williams: This receiver works wonders for my game/theater room. The setup is quite easy and felt very fulfilling to say the least. The quality and build are very eye appealing and we'll though. I had no problem connecting my speaker or my sub. This sound is very high quality, setup is quick and easy. The receiver did most of the setup for me, I had to do a few adjustments for my personal tasting, but the devices own calibration was quite nice as well. I use the system in it 7.1 layout. It have yet to try the 5.2.2 or the 7.2, but I can see the the options are readily available for the choosing. The UI is very simple, but not lacking in features. Since my speaker and wires were already run in preparation for the receiver, it only took 15 minutes to connect everything and be up and running. I use the system primary for gaming, I notice no delay from my PS4 inputs to the sreen, not do I notice sound delay. I am overall statistics with this product and loving the sound of my games and movies. I have my personal movie theater in my house now.

Primm: I got this to replace a a 10 year old Pioneer surround receive with just 5.1 surround. My theater was built for 7.1 but it was only running 5.1 My old system did not pass audio through the HDMI so you could not get 7.1 even though it had back channels, those were for 6.1, rarely used in most sound tracks. I was wanting to be able to have Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and Atmos surround so this was a good deal. I paid about 500.00 or more for the pioneer i have 10 years ago and this is way better for half the cost. I love the zone 2 feature which is great to send audio to the game room with one system. The theater will drop the back channels or the height channels to send power to the game room but when you turn the zone two power off the back channels or height come back on. Not an issue to me. You can zone 2 out through rca channels out to a second sound system without loosing back channels but i like simplifying with just one system. I also like the networking aspect, this allows you to stream audio directly to the system with an app and your able to remote control the system with a ios or android app. You can control the volume power and settings etc. with the app, great for when you in...

mark f: This does everything I need from an av receiver. Setup was a breeze, took less than an hour from taking it out of the box to having it fully dialed in. Everything just worked right out of the box

The sound is fantastic and has plenty of power for my 5.0 speaker setup, 4 Klipsch KG1.2 with a Klipsch KV2 Center speaker which is voice matched to the KG1.2s. I just set the speakers to full and turned off the subs, I don't need them. Then I ran the setup with the mic and that was that.

The DAC in this receiver is really great, I listen to my music with all channel stereo now. There is no loss of quality compared to my high end DACs playing through the receiver in stereo and I get a fabulous soundstage. I have about 10,000 FLAC files on a Linux computer with minidlna and I was a little worried that the 575 would not find them because of all the blah blah blah about Windows Media Player but it seems it will work with any DLNA server. It found all my music files and their tags, Artist, Album Genre, and recently added, which is great. I just need to figure out the playlist stuff. It also sounds great with every audio format my Shield TV and cable box could throw at it from DD...
