CB: So far great for college campus bike security. Key can be a little finicky but acceptable.

David T.: This lock is very big , it fits across my bike rack and sticks out on each side, it is big enough to lock to anything and is expensive, but they say it’s strong and worth the money to save a bike

JB:
I owned an older version of this same lock about 12-14 years ago... Finally got around to replacing it with the updated version, and I'm pleased with the quality.
Yellow/black looks sweet over the old one (just black & silver)
The security cable is a nice addition and helps if you have easily removeable wheels like I do.
It's big enough on it's own that I have my mountain bike and my wife's cruiser both locked up in the shed for some extra security. Just stick the bikes side-by-side and you should be able to get this around the 2 frames.
Comes with a bunch of keys so you have some extras.
I don't use the mounting system so haven't tried it, but the lock seems a little heavy to just mount up like that. I prefer strapping it to my backrack or throwing it in a backpack.
5/5 would buy again if needed, but I doubt somebody's gonna get through it in the first place.

John W.:
What is it:
Bike U-lock with accompanying cable and keys.
What I liked:
Everything you need to lock your bike, and the added security of an extra cable.
Plenty of "space" in the U to fit the bike and what not - no issue there.
The cable is a nice touch, every little bit of security helps when dealing with thieves! (note the cable doesn't lock independently - it's meant to be combined with the U-Lock when securing your bike).
The lock itself is brightly colored with the yellow and seems very sturdy (haven't tried cutting through it, no comment there!), and has a good material around the metal to ensure no scratching etc. of your bike.
Comes with lots of keys which is handy, although keeping track of them all when you have multiple locks can be a pain!
What I didn't like:
Nothing to dislike, great product. No comment on the warranty bit as I didn't buy the lock for it and didn't sign up for it, plenty of other reviews that speak to that part.
Would I buy it again/recommend it?
Yes, good product, serves the purpose well, touch more expensive than some others but seems to be well built and worth the price....

Bryan Winkler: I receiving my OnGuard Pitbull U-lock and Cable lock combo today and i'm impressed with the product so far. I did serious research before deciding on a lock and I found that the Pitbull was the best balance of price vs security for my budget. I ride a 1997 Trek 1220 which fetches roughly $250-$300 used. The notion of spending 10% of your bikes value on a lock seems kinda silly because It's impossible to find a decent lock for $25 dollars. If you own a bike that requires a lock but isn't outrageously expensive than this is a great choice. One thing that that has me concerned is that nearly all the people who have been posting reviews don't appear to know how to properly lock up a bike. Here's the method that you should use to properly lock the bike with a u-lock/cable lock set. Use the U-lock to lock the frame and rear wheel to a pole or other immovable object. Slide the cable lock through itself (so it looks like a lasso) on the front wheel, run it through your seat and then attach the other end to the U-lock. This will effectively secure all the easily removable parts of your bike as well as the bike itself. The cable lock is not meant to be your main...

Amazon Customer: I just received mine today and it appears to be a fairly serious lock. Comments about the inadequacy of the mounting bracket are accurate... I tried to use it on the rear stay and couldn't find a place to mount it where it didn't smack the frame or get in the way of riding, and the lock is so heavy that I was afraid that a good bounce would knock it right out of the bracket. I use a Topeak beam rear rack with a matching bag to carry incidentals when riding around...keys, wallet, glasses etc. and my solution to the problem was to carry the cross bar and cable in the rear rack bag and use the mounting bracket to just hold the u-bar part of the lock (the assembled lock is simply too big to fit into the bag when put together). This seems to work very well and having shed half the weight of the lock makes the bracket closer to being adequate and the U-bar is comfortably out of the way when riding. The cable is of generous length, plenty to secure the front wheel, 4 feet in length, not 4" like the description says (and which has already been pointed out by others). Certainly the cable provides not much more than some additional visual deterrent and maybe a few...
