Patty M.: We like this unit except for one thing. The clip on the lid holding the batteries appeared "weak" on one side when received and broke the first time we placed the batteries in the unit. Have reached out to Omron Customer Service to get a new lid. Unit arrived on time, is easy to read and use. The memory feature is great. Price was good, product included batteries.

zeke: I haven't found this product on a list of validated devices, but Omron seems to be a respected brand. I've been using this device for several days, beginning a couple of days before starting BP medicine. I would say it takes some practice to efficiently and consistently place the cuff on your arm. The included paper and online directions are pretty sparse but I would recommend following what directions there are for cuff placement, in addition to general guidelines for BP measurements. After using it for a few days I can get pretty consistent numbers, but I don't have much idea about absolute accuracy, other than to say that the readings are lower than they were before starting the meds.

Michele W Webb: Doctors told my husband to purchase a blood pressure monitor. She suggested OMRON. This was the one we preferred. Would have been great to receive a cover to protect it. This machine will only test ONE person. It comes with BATTERIES. I put the arm band on my husband, as he can't do it with one hand. He gets an Error. If I do it tightly, with no clothing it works perfect. Yes, it does get tight on your arm. My doctors machine shuts my blood flow, so it's not our machine. He took it to his doctor's so they could calibrate it. We didn't want USB cords, iPhone connections, email capability. I bought a small journal to note his blood pressure on a daily basis. Louise W.: I am replacing and Omron unit with a new one but the cuff is totally different. And since it fits up to a 17" arm, it is ridiculous on me. Can't even keep it above vein when trying to tighten as there is so much to tighten. Will be contacting the company to see what can be done about it. Otherwise, the machine works well. Will put an update here after speaking with the company.
Update - talked to company who was very responsive to find out if all units had same style cuff. Two have the type I had previously had and it is called the Easy-Wrap ComFit so am replacing this one.

Omron factory personnel told me the accuracy of the cuff has no bearing on the price.
All models perform at the same accuracy irregardless of price.
She said the bronze, silver, gold models etc were designed for Amazon.
The difference in price has nothing to do with how good the cuff is but price goes up as features are added.
The warranty also becomes longer with more expensive models but that’s because more can go wrong with all the whistles and bells.
I found this Information very helpful and opted to stay with the simple bronze model.
