Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box - Roll 'n Clean for Easy Maintenance

Jane: This is the 2nd paw and roll my cats have had. The first one worked superbly except for the catches which were really fiddly and sometimes just impossible to engage, leaving piles of litter on the floor . I continued to use just the base for the next 11 years, because it was sturdy, roomy and the cats liked it.
When I saw that the catches had been upgraded to metal I decided to buy another. Exactly the same problem! The box is flimsier. The catches are still plastic! I can't get the front catch to fasten at all (it just won't connect to the lip of the base, even hubby gave up) and I am left trying to hold the box together during operation and still have litter on the floor. Brilliant idea let down by poor construction. Disappointed!

roman o robidet burel: A pesar de que pueda parecer una buena idea, en realidad no funciona como es anunciado.
1- tamaño insuficiente.
2- deja pasar olores
3- sistema autolimpieza deficiente

1 - El tamaño interior es muy reducido, tal vez para gatos pequeños pero incómodo para gatos medianos a grandes. --> la rejilla que sirve para separar la arenade los desechos al final toma 1/3 parte de la superficie de la caja de arena haciendo que esta sea más pequeña e incómoda para el gato 33 X 27. De hecho, mi gato se tiene que salir y desde afuera trata de tapar sus desechos, lo que en algunas ocasiones causa que no cubra bien sus desechos.

2- {olor} el arenero tiene cubierta pero no tiene puerta cerrada, lo que, aunque disminuya un poco el olor (con referencia a una caja abierta) no elimina el mal olor alrededor --> sobre todo tomando en cuenta que el gato ya no cubre bien sus necesidades por la falta de espacio interior.

3- sistema de auto limpieza.... bueno aquí podríamos pasar un buen rato hablando de diseño e ingeniería.... el punto es que no funciona del todo. a) no funciona con todas las arenas y menos con las de tipo aserrín (copos más grandes) que es la...

Buen tamaño para mis gatos grandes.
Aconsejo pongan un tapete ya que cuando salen de la caja se llevan con ellos restos de arena.

TheNightbirdTucson: Full disclosure, I purchased one of these at one of those chain pet stores, not saying if it was “co” or “smart”…. I have an average sized cat with long fur and feathers. The first one I purchased was probably the smaller version, easy to assemble, easy to use BUT just too darned small for my sized cat…. maybe for a short haired cat, maybe, but for my longer haired bad boy (who is NOT a fatty), no, it just wasn’t a good fit, for a number of reasons.

I purchased this larger one thru Amazon, interestingly enough, ended up being the same price…. simple to assemble, clever design, really easy to use, clean, simple. It’s kind of vague with regards to what litter works best, which litters are better, so, here’s what I have found….

Researching on line, using the smaller box, I kept hearing about using “the best” cat litter…. It worked well for a few days, but then it started to smell of cat pee and cornflakes. I did “the roll” daily, and it kept the odor down, but, in the end, it was just too darned expensive and not that great. I tried “regular” clay litters…. some worked well, some didn’t…. the clumping litters worked well for...

Update: 4/5 Sterne . Ich bin weiterhin ueberzeugt von dem Produkt nur sollte man die auffangschale länger produzieren damit nicht einiges an Kot/Urin daneben landet. Sonst Top

HonestlyVala: It works mostly. Just like EVERYONE is saying, the plastic is super flimsy. So are the clips. It hasn't broken yet, but I imagine it's going to break before I change the box (I buy a new box every few years). As far as ease of use, you literally just roll it and it deposit the prezzies in the little scooper. I've noticed that the clumps are too big for the scoop sometimes, which makes a mess pulling it out because it scrapes on the opening. Gross lol. The area available for your cats to use isn't exactly massive either. Half of the box is the sifting system, so even though I bought the bigger size deliberately because I've got a fatty kitty she's definitely a lil smooshed in there. One cat is about 10lbs and slim, my fatty is 13 but she's a Siamese and is only supposed to be like 8lbs so she's quite. . . Round lol. Both use the box though. My fluffy cat also has this awesome habit of using the same exact spot in the litter box to urinate, which super saturates the litter in that spot and the clump winds up super glued to the back corner up against the grate. Soooo I have to go in and break it up with a scooper but what that means is the grate gets dirty too and it's a b and a half...
