Dumbells and weight plates have consistently been difficult to source, and storing them at home takes a lot more space, so we decided to look into resistance bands. They are easier to store, lighter to transport, and versatile in use.

This set comes with all of the necessary accessories for so many workout possibilities. It includes comfortable handles/grips, a door attachment, and ankle attachment. The bands are clearly labelled with their equivalent weight and come with carabiners to make switching (or combining!) bands really quick and easy. The kit comes with a bag to store it and an instructions book full of ideas on how to target different muscles.

I'll be honest, i usually disregard the instructions books for products like this because they are usually not helpful (often full of grammar mistakes and unhelpful information). BUT NOT THIS ONE!! - I found this booklet to be full of helpful diagrams and clear instructions for use (Similar to posters on workout equipment at my gym) Quality! (See picture).

Amazon user: Love these bands. They are quick and easy to use and provide a great workout.

I'm 40yrs old, 5'7" and 175lbs. I've been lifting weights since high school and I was looking to try something different (as my gains stopped years ago). I love these things. I'm doing legs, back, arms, shoulders and core. I've found that chest is kind of hard to do as the bands pull on your hands or skin with a bench press motion, but everything else works like a charm. I'm sure chest workout could be improved with a little practice, or with one of those bars, but I haven't done it yet.

I was skeptical at first and debated buying bands until a guy at my work said he tried them and loved them. I figured for around $25, I might as well try. I'm glad I did.

Yes, it's not the same as pounding out reps of 225 on the bench or curling big dumbells, but they really are great and I would highly recommend them.

MJK: I've had these for a few months now, I use them about 4 times a week and they are great. I've been working out (Weight-lifting, running, swimming, resistance training, etc.) at least 3-4 days a week for the last 13 years. I've been around long enough to be fooled by gimmicks and cheap exercise equipment. These are LEGIT. I am 5'10 and weigh about 175 at the moment and (pre-covid) could bench 225 and squat 300, these bands are enough to make me sweat. I say this because I've bought tube resistance bands off Amazon before that barely had any resistance even with all 5-6 bands at once, basically they blatantly lied about the lb.'s of force/resistance. I have yet to use all 5 bands for anything. I have a set of free weight dumbells (7.5lb-52.5lb) and I use one of my 52.5lb's at the base of the door I have the bands on, due to no lock on the door I have. MAKE SURE the door is secure enough to handle the amount of force being pulled on it.

Dominic: There is nothing to dislike about OlarHike resistance bands. OlarHikes are robustly built.
You can start with just one band and as you get fitter , just clip on another. It has been
medically researched and written that resistance exercises helps to slow down dementia,
which is what I am using it for. Take them anywhere with you.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: My First review of this product was not great because the handle plastic crunched after about 6 months of use. Turns out, this isn't a fault of anything but my daily use doing serious weight lifting routines 5 days a week.

PLAN ON REPLACING BANDS AFTER 6-9 MONTHS. DO NOT USE OLD BANDS.

I have tried 4 different resistance band brands since the start of Covid and gave up the gym entirely. I keep coming back to these - and have just bought my 4th pair in the past year. If you are using these for weight training, THIS IS NORMAL AND EXPECTED. Bands only last 6-9 months before losing their elasticity.

These don't snap or break (I have had 2 other brands that broke mid-workout-SCARY!) on you, but you can see the rubber wearing and becoming longer than they should, and then spend the whole 25 bucks on a new set.
Also, if you plan on real weight training, get more than one set. These only go to 150lbs, and switching out bands between sets can get annoying if you are doing a split routine or want to increase the intensity. I would have at least 2 good sets, as getting to over 150lbs on heavy lifting days is not that hard.

TIPS: Don't leave them hanging or...
