douglas schumann: I admit it works pretty well but the plug get very hot if you try to use you cigarette lighter output. I have to connect it directly to the battery if I want to use it. With the extra hose I can reach all my tires. Wish the cord was a little bit longer but at least I don't have to find an air pump all the time

krga94akrga94a: First of all. I hate over-exaggerated negative reviews. So I'll have to say that even though I bought this because of the ratings and supposed 150 PSI ability, I have to assume I possibly got a lemon unit. And since it isn't the type of thing used often, I didn't really use it until 7 months after purchase.150 PSI ability? Definitely not in my case. I have LT265/75R tires on my SUV. Before my camping vacation and pulling my boat, I wanted to inflate my tires to 70 PSI. It took over a 30 minutes PER TIRE to pump up from 40 PSI to 70, and it barely got there. The same goes for my boat trailer tires, being low after sitting all off-season. This compressor struggled to get them up to 50 PSI. Overall it seemed the more I used it, the weaker it got. Regarding being a metal pump, just know what's metal and what's not. What cosmetically appears to be metal aluminum cylinders with cooling fins and bolts, is a plastic facade. The air pipe that the hose is attached to is also plastic. The motor body is in fact metal, and underneath the facade there are small metal cylinders. Nothing really wrong with that I guess. But you should know what your getting. My personal experience is that this...

Mike: This pump was advertised as a 150 PSI pump. The most I was able to get was 85 PSI. There is no way that this pump could ever achieve 150 PSI

TotalOnLineShopper: This mini-air compressor is great for the small jobs and ok for larger jobs. I'm referencing to filling the tires on vehicles. My mini-van is fairly light weight and newer, and it took air in the tires efficiently and accurately. My SUV, Ford Explorer was good to go but I'm guessing because it is a heavier vehicle with larger tires that it took longer to fill with air in the tires. Then lastly on my Ford F150 pick up truck, the first tire went ok, but the second tire made the machine turn off. It is only a 2005 so not even sure the fuse for the cigarette lighter was of the recommended amps. I guessed that it blew a fuse, and replaced it, but not sure if the fuse that blew was the one in the truck that runs the cigarette lighter or not. Instead of plugging this in to the truck, I pulled my mini-van up to the side of the truck and used the power source from it to complete filling the tires in the truck. It worked great and now all 3 vehicles have air in the tires. I don't think it's quite paid for itself yet, but it will I do believe. I'm glad I made the choice of this particular model and it seems like it will last for awhile. Built nice and sturdy, love the digital read out of the...

Randy H.: It's plastic, a lot of it composite. You might have an opinion about that? So my review, my opinion. I'll begin with the motor. It's not a compact unit. Good choice using a large one. Good design with the probability of need to use it in high temperatures for an extended time. That motor drives a pair of connecting rods moving 1 inch pistons on their 1/2 inch stroke. The rods are a well moulded but composite. It's good to know that the rods have a pressed steel roller bearing attaching them to a metallic flywheel. The wrist pin bearing wasn't checked. The piston does look metallic and similar material as the flywheel. There is a steel sleeve pressed into the composite cylinder structure. If it fails me out of warranty I'll get to see the rings. So the twin cylinders have a connecting plenum with a single joining seam. Pressure is sampled within the plenum with a gauge I'd rate as very accurate. Power to the unit brings the gauge to life. Display is half inch LCD with a blue backlight. No issue with reading it. Set your pressure before or after attaching to the tire. Either way you can read current pressure prior to switching on the motor. Should tire pressure be above the...
