Asha Lil: Having already played with the Wii Nerf game (I do not recommend that set for anyone above 14 years of age, by the way), I was a little wary of this wii accessory, but I was pleased to find that this is certainly one shooter accessory/game that does not disappoint.
The pistol rig is well shaped; though, the accessory could be longer overall. Still, the shooting action is quite excellent and the lay-out for the wiimote and nunchuk are simple as well as logical.
The shooter game is also quite good. It is a quick study of the gaming operations of this kind of shooter game for beginners while still being quite interesting for those of us who are more experienced.
I can't wait to look into ordering further shooter games to see how this incorporates itself into game play.

Shawn J. Masse: First off I thought that the design of the Official Wii Zapper would be a bit too short (length) to feel good while being used. This isn't the case, while it does take a bit to get use to, once one gets use to the design/feel it is rather comfortable in your hands. Unlike the Nyko Perfect Shot for Wii , the Wii Zapper biggest competition, this handles the Wii Nunchuk Controller - White perfectly and makes using the Wii Remote Controller and Nnchuck easy and comfortable.
The only issue with Wii Zapper is that it doesn't handle the Nyko Battery Kit for Charge Station for Wii with the rubber grip on. Removing the rubber grip/battery cover resolves the issue and while an inconvenience it isn't a big issue. For those who use the Jacket that comes with the Wii Remote will find that you will have to remove it before using the Wii Zapper. While another inconvenience for some; for others, including me, who don't use the Jacket this is a non issue.
Link's Crossbow is an excellent game, while there is no storyline, the 9 levels with three stages each make for an addictive game play. The graphics are well done and in combination with...

Jennifer B. Stewart: For anyone who likes to shoot at targets (or other things) this game is a dream!! Challenging enough that it won't become boring for a LONG time, but at the same time, easy enough that even little kids will love it! Enough levels and different scenarios also keep it very interesting. I especially love the one where it's like you're a cowboy riding on a horse shooting while you ride. Very cool. I bought this for my son-in-law for Christmas, knowing I was going to get one for myself very soon. He LOVES LOVES it! Even my daughter, who didn't realize how much she liked target shooting loves it. Turns out she's GOOD AT IT! It comes with the game Link's Crossbow training (which is the game I'm talking about above). I just bought my gun today and can't wait to take mine up to their house so we can play at the same time instead of taking turns. Also, it's not violent shooting type stuff so parents won't have to be concerned about the violence/gun aspect. Just various targets, some stationery and some moving. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Good value since the gun with the game is just under [...]. Would help anyone, especially kids with their hand/eye coordination.

MCM: I bought this as a Christmas present for my 6-year-old nephew after seeing how much fun he had playing with the one we had for our own Wii.
I know the point of buying this is mostly for the zapper itself, and it is immensely useful for many games on the Wii. But the game that comes with it is loads of fun too, and we enjoy it a lot. In fact, the one I bought for ourselves came with a non-working game, and I returned it to the store to get a new one because of it. We bought it more for the game than the zapper. The game is enjoyable even if you don't already have the full Zelda game for the Wii; in fact you don't even have to know anything about the Zelda games or the universe to enjoy it. It's just a practice shooting game, shooting at stable and moving targets and enemies. This game is fun for adults as well as kids, though the younger children might not be able to play very well as it does require a lot of hand-eye coordination. (You're aiming a gun/crossbow essentially.)
It is easy to use, though it might be a bit tricky to wrap the nun-chuck cord the first time or two. I think the handling of the zapper is pretty natural, and works well for right and left-handed people....

Shirley Greenough: I gave this item 3 stars for fun, as the fun really begins when you buy games that would benefit from it.
The wii zapper is, without a doubt, the best light gun available for the wii, as it's the official one, there is literally nothing wrong with it.
The games that spring to mind that use this are Ghost squad, Resident evil umbrella chronicles, and House of the dead return.
These games all highly benefit from it.
The feel of the gun is good, you can hold it left or right handed. The gun is pure plastic, but its not uncomfortable. I would highly reccomend buying the wii zapper.
As for the game, it's a spin off, with no story, just pure target training. I have played it three times, and i've had this since christmas 2007, so whatever you do, dont buy the zapper for the game included.
Overall, this product is great, but i would reccomend buying it with a game such as Ghost Squad, Umbrella chronicals or House of the dead.

PaleBlueDot: I purchased this game mainly for the Wii Zapper for use in future games. You can buy the Wii Zapper on its own for around £10, or with Link's Crossbow Training for around £20 to £50, so it's worth shopping around.
The Wii Zapper is quite compact and lightweight. It feels well built and slightly more comfortable to hold standing up, but can be used sitting down just as easily, with the added advantage you can support it on your knee for increased accuracy. It's made from the same type of plastic as the Wii controllers, and generally fits together quite well, with all the loose wires neatly tucked away in grooves or inside the handle. You can easily release the Wiimote for charging, etc, by simply pressing the release button. I found it mildly uncomfortable using the joystick on the Nunchuck at the rear of the Wii Zapper as I had to bend my wrists into slightly awkward positions, but you can of course use the Nunchuck separately, which essentially turns the Wii Zapper into a pistol style holder. My only real complaint is that the buttons on the top of the Wiimote (D-pad, A button, 1, 2, etc) are not easy to reach. You can operate the A button with your thumb, but this...
