It works well and was easy to install. Sure it makes a lot of noise but I haven't seen one that is silent like a whisper or isn't noticeable at all. For that I'll give it 4 stars, but if I can find a quiet one then that will get 5 stars. Well recommended.

Marlan KnittelMarlan Knittel: I appreciated the attention to detaii the seller invested in deciding for which enclosures this was a fit. This certainly was a well-made OEM product.
Having said that, when installing the replacement part into the into the ceiling enclosure I had a hard time getting the end marked with a yellow circle over a bump or imperfection in the ceiling enclosure. (note that the picture was the nonworking part that I had removed; that already had the the appropriate notches.)
The solution was to remove 1/2" of the metal lip at the label end of the new part so that it would match the nonworking part which I had removed.
Above is a picture of the removed part. This sellers part has the metal lip all the way around the edge,, at most ending in the type of bevil indicated by the yellow arrow. The solution was to duplicate theme notch that was theme notch that was cut at the label end of the new replacement part.

DougJustDoug: The blower came apart on my 769RL. After replacing the blower, the motor promptly seized up, which means I would've saved time and money had I purchased the entire B-unit to begin with. Lessons learned... The product description for this unit doesn't list the 769RL but it's an exact replacement; in fact, the sticker on the unit is printed "769RL". Replacement took about 5 minutes, and it works like new.
If you're not particularly handy, don't fear this job. For one, there is NO wiring to do. If you have a 769RL or similar unit, here's all you need: #2 Phillips screwdriver, flat blade screwdriver, 7/16" socket (a deep one is better, but not absolutely necessary) and something to drive it. Carefully use the flat blade to pry off the bulb cover; set it upside down somewhere safe. Remove bulb when cool. Use the 7/16" socket to remove the nut securing the bulb holder assembly; let the ass'y drop down a bit, then unplug. The bulb holder ass'y holds the outer frame in place against the ceiling; both will be free now. Put the nut in the upside down lens so you won't loose it. Unplug the B-Unit and use a #2 Phillips to remove the screw securing it. The B-Unit swings down (there are...

et: Update: 4 years later, the replacement part died so I ordered and installed another one this week. But I kind of understand why: so much dust/dirt had accumulated the last 4 years, everything was covered and clogged. As others have said, where protective gear when you do the replacement or all that grime will land on your head and face. Between use of a hand vac and cleaning wipes, it took more time to clean than to do the installation. Hopefully this one will last longer.
Of note: the metal frame of the part is now black instead of silver, but still fits and works perfectly.
Also noticed Amazon sells the replacement grill and diffuser separately if you don’t want to clean and reuse this. It is hard to clean the grill - I used pipe cleaners and it was still a bit stained in the end.
I live in an OLD house, 1920s era. We have a very small shower with an exhaust fan that was probably installed 10-20 years ago - maybe longer.
Anyway, it was loud and you could hear when it started up or when it was turned off this stuttering sound like the motor was struggling.
I'd remove the motor assembly (the same thing I bought at Amazon) and put a little...
