Eizu: This was a great drop in replacement for our ancient Broan fan that has been rattling loudly. The new fan seems quieter, and the bathroom was noticeably less steamed up after a shower.
I see that the replacement fan blade is slightly larger in diameter, and more aerodynamically designed, which I am sure helps with airflow and noise. It is also well balanced. The only thing I question is the fact that the fan blade was not as angled as the original design. Maybe this doesn't matter, because the new blades are cupped instead of flat.
If the label is true, then the motor is also much more efficient than the original model.

MMCast: Replacing a 20 plus year old exhaust fan in small restroom that was making loud noise as it was showing its age. This universal fan was a great direct replacement. Much more energy efficient and much much quieter. Though this type of fan is not know to be that quiet. Installation was easy as this fan fit the mounting bracket for the original. It helps to review the dimensions provided in the description when ordering as it let me know that this would work for my application. Installed the same day I received and I am very happy with this fan.
