We recently had a change of food recommended by his vet to help with weight loss, but he had an allergic reaction to it - poor guy was throwing up, non-stop itching, and all the hair on his ears were replaced by scabs and cuts. I switched him back to his old food, gave him this Lysine support powder, probiotics, along with antihistamines and it's been the perfect combination to get him happy and healthy again in a quick manner. The jar is very big and considering that you only use a little bit for a cat twice a week it could easily last someone many many months, even over a year.

Sean Meehan: Time will tell if this is effective for my little friend. One thing though....It is pain in the tukiss to measure 1/8 a tsp. It would be a great help to have put in a small measuree spoon for the dosing...just sayin'.

Nancy: All 3 of my picky cats apparently cannot detect this lysine in their food and they are not easily fooled. They can sniff out any supplements that I add in their food and will refuse to eat, no matter how well it is mixed into the food. Until now, I've never been able to find just ONE lysine product that all 3 cats would agree on . One cat liked the chews for awhile ...... then he didn't. Another loved the gel/paste type ..... until he didn't. The 3rd cat has hated every single lysine product I've tried to give him until I tried this one. They absolutely cannot detect it when it's mixed into their wet food. They have been on this product for about a year and still continue to eat their food when this is added. They each get 1/8 teaspoon maintenance dosage daily, per my vet's recommendations. If they have a flare up with runny eyes, sneezing etc. they get 1/4 tsp. daily until the symptoms are gone, usually in a few days. I'm so glad I tried this product because now it's stress free (for all of us) when getting them to take their daily dosage of lysine.

I have an exotic shorthair. Flat face, goopey eyes even on the best of days, trouble breathing, etc. My cat also seems to have almost no sense of smell probably because she has tiny nostrils and respiratory issues - this means she eats only one type of particularly pungent kibble, no interest in any of the 20+ different treat brands I've got her, no interest in wet food, no interest in any human food.

I do not agree with the breed, she was a rescue and really is the sweetest cat ever. Her life has been difficult because of her breed specific issues.

I've had her on this for around 2 weeks and the difference is astounding. I haven't had to wipe her face at all this week, very little goops (nothing she can't groom off herself), her breathing is way better, and she is taking an interest in other food and sniffing EVERYTHING. I'm shocked. I assumed this would help a bit but she really seems so much more lively and happy.
