Mushroomm: Due to this pandemic, I got stuck at home and have to make my own foods (delivery foods are too expensive). However, sometimes I'm too busy with work and don't have time to cook a meal (and my cooking skills suck). This Udon is my go to food for a quick lunch/dinner. There are times I eat two bowls because it's so good. Definitely stock these up for a while!

Amazon Customer: I paid almost $50 here but Costco sells it exactly same thing at $20 . Go buy it at Costco. The Udon tastes great .

Joseph: What can I say? If you love udon, you're going to love this noodle bowl.
Noodles - The noodles are actual udon noodles - not the fried, ramen kind. They come in what seems like a slightly vinegary liquid, but I'm guessing that's to preserve it. Washing the noodles gets rid of this, so I'd just follow the instructions if I were you.
Soup - The broth comes in liquid form and as long as you pour just the right amount of water, it's the perfect amount of sweet and salty. Just like what you should expect from a high quality udon.
Dried goodies - They're great. What else can I say?
Overall, this is a great udon bowl and is even sufficient for a meal. I'm deducting half a star because of its relatively high price, though you certainly pay for what you get.

sstsau: I've usually found Nong Shim products to be enjoyable and of high-quality (especially when compared to some "cheaper" ramen/noodle bowls). This Udon Noodle Bowl is no different. In fact, it is probably my favorite "instant" udon noodle variety available. The noodles have a nice "bite" to them (like al dente cooked pasta) and aren't too mushy or hard. The included vegetables/tempura flakes add a nice touch to the soup and flavor, and the udon sauce packet has a wonderful, authentic flavor that makes me recall real udon noodle soups at Japanese restaurants.
Of course, given that this IS an instant noodle type product, it probably will not surpass an actual restaurant dish. But if you live somewhere that is lacking in authentic Asian cuisine and you are craving some udon noodles and soup, then this is a great choice that can probably help tide you over!

Crystal Freeland: This makes a HUGE bowl of udon soup...it says 2 servings, but really, you will want it all for yourself. It's packed with sodium, as all these soups are, but it doesn't TASTE too salty...in fact, it has a mildly sweet flavor, reminding me of Memmi soup base. Sort of like a sweet-ish soy sauce base, with a mildly fishy flavor. There are super thin slices of imitation crab and cabbage, perhaps?, but not chunky or overpowering. The noodles are firm and chewy and thoroughly delicious, and I can't say enough about them. I would suggest, if you are making this into a meal, that you add some cooked shrimp or chicken, or any cooked meat, cubed or shredded, and some fresh greens and sliced green onion to it. Maybe even slice a hard-boiled egg onto the top of it, add some peanuts. It's a lot to eat but it is so delicious, and it's not greasy or calorie-laden. Sure, it has a lot of sodium in it, but then again, you wouldn't eat it every single day, so save it for a nice, rainy day and add a hot cup of oolong tea with it and you are all set. :) BTW, Amazon's price is very good on these.
