RR: We live in FL and have well water, which rates high in sulfur and iron despite a water treatment system. Because of this, we are constantly changing pool filters and the water turns green quickly. Our water was deep gross green, it’s just a 10 foot intext pool, so we used 1/20th of the bottle at nighttime. 4 hours after application, we brushed the pool bottom which was full of sediment! We washed the filter out which had turned Orange. We did this at night to keep the extreme heat from lessening the strength of the product. The following morning we washes the filter again which was orange and brushed the pool bottom again. We shocked the pool 24 hours before application of this product which didn’t help lessen the green and we removed the chlorine floater for 24 hours. It just took a day and our pool went from swampy to clear and blue.

Kristin D.: The product works. My pool did not test for metals. Leslie’s told me not all metals however show in a test. I had already spent a fortune on Algaecide. I tried this. You need to have no and I mean NO chlorine in the pool to use this. But that chemical, then use this. Run the pool for a week with it in, add some more every week. Sparkling pool! Why I stress a week—First time I waited used this I deleted chlorine, and added this. Pool went to clear, I only waited 48 hours. Added chlorine and immediately got a lesser vibrant green than before. I did the process again, waited a week and the pool stayed clear.
I actually start the pool and add water with the winter cover on. I add metal free and run the pool for a week with the cover on. I then remove the cover and do the ph, and TA, then add the chlorine —-works like a charm. Note I use the BBB method with a saltwater pool. Way cheaper, the Borax adds such a sparkle!
Look up the BBB method. It costs me with the metal free $30 for chemicals per year for a 24 round pool. I used to spend near $1000 for a 21 round

kim: Pool had metal in it, was staining the ladder and made the water look mint green even though it was clear. Used this as directed and the next morning the water was crystal clear. Backwashed the pump and could not believe how much dark rusty looking water came out. It is well worth the money. This is the 2nd time I have used it for this problem and once again it worked great, even took the rust off the ladder.
