Stefano Pirrello: Followed the directions and no more phosphates. Can't believe it.

corzone0: This stuff eliminates phosphates. I would clean my pool, get the greenish algae off the pool floor with a scrubber, shock the heck out of the pool, added algeacide, and the next day I would have the same algea growing on my pool floor.

Tested our water and found phosphates to be high. Used this product before with great results. Broadcast spread it with your pump running for a couple hours then shit everything off for 24 hours. I find this product to be a flocculant as well, it binds to the phosphates and dead algea, and sinks them to the pool floor to be vaccumed to waste.
This product is my secret weapon to keeping my pool crystal clear compared to all the neighbors.

UncleUncle: Arrived on time with a nice protective seal. I'm always nervous to have a chemical shipped. Product is simple to use and did a great job with phosphates. My numbers were so high, they were off the chart. I poured this in according to directions and ran my filter for about 36 hours on various speeds. Did a backwash of my sand filter and brought a water sample in for testing. It showed 150 ppb which is quite good. The pool gets a lot of debris, so for me, anything under 500 is good.

AZ Buyer: I have had an ongoing problem with black algae for years now. Algae eats phosphates so, if you can get rid of your phosphates, you have solved your problem. Last year, I had a phosphate level of over 2500 PPM and the only solution that I could find was a product called Phos-Free from Leslie's. It was expensive and it required that you clean your filter before application to the pool, then let the filter run for 48 straight hours, and then clean the filter AGAIN, which was a giant hassle to say the least, as I have a cartridge filter that takes 45 minutes to clean in the blazing sun. This got my phosphates down to around 800 PPM, which somewhat mitigated the problem without completely solving it. (Note: I really like Leslie's and appreciate that they have a store near me with water testing and I will continue to buy all of my other chemicals and tabs from them, which are great.)
I just didn't want to deal with the Phos-Free process this year and tried Orenda out of laziness/desperation. It really works like magic. I poured 4 ounces in my 16,000 gallon pool and the water immediately clouded and stayed that way for an hour or so. I use it in conjunction with Leslie's Perfect...

EricOEricO: For several years I have been battling green algae on my pool walls even though the pool was crystal clear. I could brush my pool today, run the filter all day and tomorrow it would be back. All my typical chemicals were all where they needed to be yet I continued to get algae build up. I never really know my chlorine was being used up as much as I had a SWG until a few weeks back when it broke. It was at that point I realized that I am adding chlorine more than I feel I should be. A pool forum that I subscribe to said that as long as your chemicals are in proper range you do not need to test for phosphates. Since I did not know what else to do I decided to purchase a Taylor K-1106 to test for phosphates. What I found was they were >2000ppb so I decided to purchase the Orenda PR-10000 and give it a try. I felt it was a little pricey for what you get but I put it in two days ago, ran our filter for nearly two days and tested again a few hours ago and the new test is coming back less than or equal to 125ppb. For the last two days there is no signs of algae in the pool. I am hoping this has been my issue the last few years as before that we never had a problem prior. My pool is...
