Old Retired Dude: I bought this for one reason and one reason only: It is powered by a 9V battery. I got tired of my voltage detectors being destroyed by leaking AA or AAA batteries. Since 9V batteries rarely leak, I'm happy to throw out my old ones and stick to using this one from now on.

Moldtech: The accuracy is sketchy but it does alert you to voltage without contact.
This is the LCD version of this model which is also, for some horrid reason, only rated at Cat. II (600VAC) and not Cat. IV (1000VAC) like the non-LCD versions
Edit: to say I just had the “upgraded chip” model delivered and right off the bat, it doesn’t come with a handy carrying case or even batteries. It also doesn’t have probe connections like the LCD version has. But it is Cat. IV rated so there’s that. Even with this so-called chip upgrade, accuracy is sketchy but it still alerts to voltage.

Mon mari utilise ses doigts depuis des années pour tester le courant et c'est le cas de le dire, cela me mets sur les nerfs donc avec ce petit gadget, mon caractère en sera bcp plus tendre. S'utilise également dans les prises de courants et est certifié CE

Kjf: High accuracy, I have an expensive one too that I don't like to use as much, it's important to have one that has a high accuracy as this could be life-saving.
I wish there was a way to turn the beeping sound off while testing, not a deal-breaker though. It has bright LEDs to show you the strength of the outlet or wire you want to test. Fits nicely in my tool belt, doesn't take much room! Even has a small light for those hard to reach areas!
It's priced right, needed a backup voltage tester this will work perfectly!
Haute précision, j'en ai un aussi cher que je n'aime pas utiliser autant, il est important d'en avoir un qui a une grande précision car cela pourrait sauver des vies.
Je souhaite qu'il y ait un moyen de désactiver le bip sonore pendant les tests, mais pas un briseur d'accord. Il a des LED lumineuses pour vous montrer la force de la prise ou du fil que vous souhaitez tester. Convient parfaitement à ma ceinture à outils, ne prend pas beaucoup de place! A même une petite lumière pour les zones difficiles à atteindre!
Son prix est correct, il fallait un testeur de tension de secours, cela fonctionnera parfaitement!
