Hello`: The only reason I gave it 4 stars, was because I can't seem to turn it off. I have to take the batteries out of it after every use. I just posted a question and hopefully someone can tell me well enough for me to be able to do it. Other than that, it works great. I took my temperature just before I went to see my Doctor and they came up with exactly the same reading ...

Easy to use, and the light up read out lets you check temparured in the dark. No more bothering the kids to check temperatures while sleeping... just a quick no contact scan and you have their temp in 1 second.

I know with a lot of these, they can be resting battery hogs so I just pop back the battery lid when I'm done using it, essentially stopping that possibility completely.

For those wondering if it reads low, the answer is yes and no. BUT that does not have to do with inaccuracy... it has to do with that your forehead is lower in temperature then inside of you (oral). It's about .5 to 1 degree cooler. So it doesn't not read low for a forehead scanner. It reads accurate. It reads "low" compared to an oral check. So you need to add about a half to 1 degree to your temperature to get your oral temperature.

Why dont they just make the temperature read 1 degree warmer? Because then it wouldn't be accurate, as that's not your forehead temperature. With such tight tolerances on what is a fever and what's not (were talking less then 3 degrees) it needs to stay as accurate as possible.

C. Harris: This has come in handy in the home. Old fashioned oral thermometer is out now that we're dealing with Covid-19. Its so simple to use that a child can do it... just point and press the trigger or lightly touch the skin anywhere on the body and press the trigger. Its pretty accurate too. Ready to use out of box.
I took this with me to a Dr's appointment so that I didn't have to use the one in the office which is rolled across the forehead. As a nurse, I'm very aware that they don't always clean these after each patient. I know because some colleagues have been annoyed with me and my Hyper Attention to thoroughly cleaning exam rooms & tools after each patient. So I've brought my own thermometer & B/P cuff to my appointments during the pandemic.
Great product. Hoping it will have a long life.

PeterPeter: Found this when I search similar product at an affordable price. This one jumped into my eyes that the lowest price but with multi-functions and it's blue and white!!!. So........I bought two! which even cheaper than only one of some other brands. If it is good when I receive it, I will give the other one to my friend who is also looking for the same kind of product. When I got it, I fall in love with the first sight. I like the color so much. Just a little sad that one of the two cases got a little damaged but everything else just perfect to me. It can use to read both room and body temperature with a button you can switch between each other depend on what is the purpose you want to use it. It also has the Celsius/Fahrenheit switch. I personally prefer Celsius but the rest of my family members all prefer Fahrenheit...I don't know why lol. If you need memory function, you can also try this one but I don't really need such a function. All in all, it is definitely a great value product for my family and I believe my friend will like it too.
