Tim McBroom: I bought this item to be able to use for COVID 19 screening of visitors to my home/shop, and it has always measured lower than the actual body temperature of everyone I've used this thermometer on. I had to figure this out the hard way - the thermometer said my temperature was 97.8 degrees when in fact I was running at temperature of 99.6, as verified by two different digital oral thermometers and on mercury thermometer. The return window on the item was so short I didn't have time to return it for a refund, even though I purchased the thermometer in August. It didn't matter how many times I took my temperature on my forehead, this thermometer was always wrong. What a waste of money!

PlaceholderPlaceholder: With the Covid-19 pandemic raging I like to take my temperature often and I wanted it to be easy and not have to clean my digital mouth thermometer each time I used it.
I really like the shape and easy to use buttons. You just hold it about a inch away from your forehead and push the button and in one or seconds it beeps and it takes your temperature without having to touch the skin. I love that it has a nice fairly large color LCD screen that changes color depending on your temperature. With one push of the temperature button it starts out red, then you hold it towards your forehead and press the button again and it turns either green within normal temperature range, yellow for a moderate temperature range and red if you are running a high temperature. The screen shows you the actual temp in either celsius or fahrenheit. It has a mute function, a last temperature mode on startup and it holds up to 15 prior readings you can scroll through to see your temperature changes. I also love that it uses 2 AAA batteries which are included. That makes it easier to change out the batteries with a common one.
