It even reads the air temperature so you’ll know if it’s okay to leave foods out for whatever length of time safely. You can turn the alarm sound off so that won’t scare your pet or child. Take the temperature while they are sleeping. Perfect.

Paco GibsonPaco Gibson: I got this as a present for my wife. She is a nurse and she does most of her work as house calls to patients she sees regularly.

She really likes this thermometer. It came with a really nice case.

As you can see from the pictures the tip is removable and can be used in the ear for a more accurate reading. It works without contact on the forehead too just not as exact as an inner ear reading.

The display lights up very well so it can be read even in low light.

She also likes the fact that it takes regular AAA batteries, no need to buy wierd batteries to make it work.

It also has a nice beeping feature when it has recorded a stable temperature. The beep is very soft so it won't startle anyone. But it can also be turned off.

I have taken several pictures with it in my hand especially so you can see the size of the unit.

–Arrived surprisingly fast. Initially tried cancelling order, but it shipped too fast, seller (AmyBlue) was quick to respond to my communication, apologizing and saying I could return after receiving
–Reads very fast, good price from this seller
–Beep is not obnoxious like some
–LED display is large enough, easy to read letters/numbers/symbols, back light is dullest grey
–Read page 6, item 6, “How To Use Your Thermometer” and page 8, item 9, “Temperature Compensation Adjustment” in case your device ever requires recalibration. Trying to determine whether this is “no contact” or “contact and move side-to-side”
–Easy to hold; plastic surface is smooth, could be slightly textured, almost feels slippery; body is curved, but display points upward on a flat surface as it should, my other thermometer rolls on its side like a good dog
–Ear canal readings are wham/bam straightforward. Forehead readings require more effort, see below.
--Manufacturer has legit and useful website so you know its not knock off hardware and design
–Includes two batteries, cloth storage bag and 14-page, English only user manual. Made in...

Jonathan: We bought this to replace our very old Braun thermometer. The accuracy on it had diminished over the years. We haven't had any sickness as of yet, but the thermometer seems to be consistent in readings. I love the large backlit display and auto-off feature. it is very quick in reading temperature, and can be used on the forehead or in-ear by removing the top cover. Overall I would say this device is worth the money.

avivaaviva: The thermometer comes with 2 AAA batteries which makes it more convenient. It was the first time I bought a non-contacted thermometer, pretty attractive! I didn’t use it properly at the beginning, so the temperature wasn’t correct. Once you find a good measuring angle then it becomes really handy. It takes temperature really fast and accurate. It’s much better compares to the ones take temperature through mouth. Overall, it’s a really good thermometer with many functions.
