R. Friedman: The locking mechanism means you probably won’t loose your keys (or whatever you attach), but it’s a little fidly to engage and disengage—not something you can do quickly, without looking at it. That said, so far, I haven’t lost my bike’s proximity key and that’s worth the extra bother.

Mike Presto: I needed a "speed clip" to quickly separate the house keys from the car keys that didn't hang so low while driving that they'd scrape my knee. The small size was perfect. Haven't used the other two but I'll find something for them.

Power T: I really wanted to like this product, but it was heavier than expected being stainless steel. Instead, I opted for aluminum carabiners as this will be connected to my shoulder pack. Something to consider if you’re touching to a shorter back. For backpack, this probably would’ve been better as I would not have noticed the weight as much.

rolandorolando: Leider hat der Kunststoffsteg nachgegeben und ist gebrochen.
Ein Schlüsselbund hing daran. Der Kunststoff war nach ca. 2,5 Jahren den Belastungen nicht mehr gewachsen.Es ist eben das schwache Glied. Die Sicherung war nicht mehr gewährleistet, im Gegenteil ohne diese Sicherung öffnete sich der Karabiner einfacher als ohne.
Der Schlüsselbund wurde verloren aber durch einen gewissenhaften Menschen wieder zurückgegeben.
Kann den Nite Ize R6 S-Biner SlideLock Dual Locking Karabiner deshalb nicht für diese Anwendung empfehlen.

MRandomInterviews: So with the plastic piece to lock the biner, it can easily be taken out or slide out of the tip. Be careful. I saw that there was a twist lock version. I haven't tried it though. But that might be a better way for having keys on your belt loops than the small plastic stoppers.
