Test PilotTest Pilot: Bought it on a whim after seeing compact EDC videos. Purchased this one because of combination of positive reviews and low cost. For many years starting from when I wore dress pants daily, all my keys line up perfectly and fold within a single medium split ring. So, when this arrived and I attached it, it really will not be an EDC for me. Instead, I left it in the truck center console as a 2nd option bottle opener.

The first option being a wooden handle 1933 Edlund model that is in fact the perfect 1 shot bottle opener. I like to have it when going to private events to have people try, which never fails on 1 try, then show them the date on the perfectly shaped hardened steel lever.

Nick Biere: I find myself using the flathead screwdriver portion on the end quite a lot. I work on video sets so always having a flathead on me for tightening and loosening tripod plate screws is a lifesaver. Feels well made and I've had mine for about a year now.

Emazon: Simple tool, tough material and very handy. I’ve had one of these for a year plus. It’s always clipped to my keys.

I have used it quite often. More than any other pocket tool due to it being cheap… so no concern it might get damaged or lost. That said mine takes a beating, but it’s so sturdy it will last years….and did I mention small!

It’s not going to replace a full on multi tool but you won’t know it’s there until you need it. And because is so easy to carry, when you need it it’s there.

Hens: I found this tool very convenient for a number of reasons, including its ability to act as a Philips head screwdriver, package opener (for the tape etc), and more. It was durable and lasted for quite some time, that is, until I lost it.

It comes with a carabiner-type hook on it, which I failed to use and ended up losing the DoohicKey. I'll definitely be buying another one!

Rob WRob W: A little smaller than expected but it serves the purpose of a simple handy screwdriver to tighten brackets and hot shoe mounts to cameras in the field, which was my intended purpose. The box cutter isn’t much use and I’ve had no immediate use for the scale or other tools incorporated in this gadget. OK for the price.

MR: Objet utile lorsque tu veux ouvrir des boîtes "scotch-tapée" et tu n'a pas rien pour couper à portée de main. Même chose lorsque tu veux ouvrir une bouteille "cap-lockée" et tu réalises que t'a pas d'ouvre-bouteille à portée de main.

Patente a gosse que tu mets sur ton porte-clés, mais qu'après plusieurs mois de possession tu réalises que ce truc est plus utile que la plupart des autres patentes a gosse que tu retrouves sur amazon.

La peinture noire s'abime avec le temps et si c'était à refaire j'aurais pris la version plus cheap.

Zak: If you're debating between the Nite Ize DoohicKey and the Kershaw PT-1, I would go with the DoohicKey.

Reasons for DoohicKey:
It's lighter and thinner. The box opening part is finer, so it's closer to a cutting edge without being a blade compared to the Kershaw.

The carabiner like clip makes attaching to things easier. (The clip feels a tad flimsy compared to a true carabiner clip, but so far has held up.)

Use case:
I use it mostly for keyboard maintenance: scraping gunk off of it, popping out keys to clean/fix. The occasional prying of staples or gunk on desk. And to maintain the longevity of my Victorinox pocket knife, who's combo tool can be used for scraping and prying.

I don't use it much for opening boxes, as I prefer the utility of a blade. And haven't had the need at all for the wrench section, which may... possibly... come in handy if you're in a MacGyver type situation.

Note:
Though I haven't had issues with the TSA in the US with this tool, I have had to surrender this to the "TSA" of Costa Rica, who have a very strict "no multi-tool" policy. So keep that in mind for return travel.
