Jeff O’BrienJeff O’Brien: Nice candles with citronella scent. Great for the deck while relaxing in the evening. The label on the bottom of the candle indicates that it is indeed citronella. It’s not marked on the box for some reason. Look underneath before you light them, or you will get hot wax on your table!

R. MichelleR. Michelle: I ordered these because they were supposed to HAVE citronella in them to keep some of the bugs away.
I just looked everywhere possible on this box inside and out …and on the candle itself…
There is not on word of being a citronella candle.
Not only that, the candles themselves smell like flowers.
These are only going to attract MORE bugs now!!

miriblue18miriblue18: 3 in a pack, i love the look of them. I put them outside about an hour before mosquito time. I also put mosquito repellent incense at the same time. Even with both burning at the same time I still got bit a couple times. I ended up having to sprayed myself with bug spray so I really don’t think neither the candle or incense had much mosquito repellent effects.

Jes: I bought this to burn inside while I sleep since the bugs are making a nightly meal out of me lately & it def works, not one bite since I started using it. Smells a lil medicated, which I'm assuming it's what citronella is supposed to smell like but it's not terrible.
It does but down there middle like another reviewer said but it's still worth the $ to me for not getting bit daily... Will buy again.
