Mrs Stella Nicholson: I have a boiler in one of the bed rooms so thought it was important to have a good alarm .put battery in plugged it in .Reading came up as "0".The next morning it did intermittent bleep I went to check it the battery was flat the plug was red hot ,fire hazard so I sent it back cost me £12.75 to send it to Spain !!!

DJ: Kidde KN-COPP-3 Nighthawk Plug-In Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Battery Backup and Digital Display is a wonderful product. I had one in my new house when I brought it. But I decided to get another on a different floor just as a back up. The unit works perfectly well. There is one complaint that I have, when plugged into the outlet, it tends to come loose very easily. But since it comes with the 9V battery, I was not worried. I did get a few false alarms in the beginning but it has not been case for the past few months. Overall, I am very happy with the product. It does what is supposed to do. I had decided to buy the unit after doing very extensive review of the detectors and this one seems to get the best reviews. I would recommend this to anyone.
