TeiCei: These patches are the only thing that helps my cravings. If you have an issue with them staying on like I did, get a band aid to put on top and it works very well. Although these help with cravings, stopping starts in the mind. I have to trick my mind in to believing I can’t smoke because I’ll lose a bet and that I’m being filmed everywhere I go to make sure I don’t smoke. Lol. It might sound crazy but this is what helps me. I stopped in July and OMG have never felt better. I’m trying to get my partner to stop and he’s ready so I’ll be ordering for him.
I believe there is something in the cigarettes now a days that makes them more addictive. since most of the new age folks aren’t smoking, the industry has to find a way to keep the ones that are, so make them more addictive right? Amazon Customer: I am a smoker of about 20 years that smoked about a pack a day. I loved having one to relax, enjoy weather on the patio or with a drink. To be clear, I have never wanted to stop smoking, but I knew it was something that needed to happen. I have attempted to stop three times and I will take the time to highlight my failed and successful attempts because it is worth it. Before we start, smoking is a chemical and psychological addiction, which I think we all know. I see two factors to it. Not only are we addicted to the nicotine, but we are addicted to the habit and emotional responses that are tied to the habit.
First Attempt (not successful):
This attempt was a long time ago. I used Chantix and it assisted in no way for me. Personally, I don't recommend this.
Second attempt (more successful):
I was prescribed Buproprian or Wellbutrin. Buproprian assists with the nicotine withdraws. It took about a week to get used to the medication and it was uncomfortable the first few days like with any medication. It initially made me really tired and I slept a lot. theycallmemac: I started my smoke free journey almost 3 months ago. I wasn't too sure if this would work because i started smoking when i was 13. I am now 24 married, my wife and i are having our first kid. I wanted to quit because i didn't want to be controlled by an addiction anymore. I could've cared less about the price,health risk, or the smoking bans. I pretty much smoked a pack a day and decided for to start with step 2 because reviews i saw that said step 3 was very strong. I recommend if you can go 2 hours without smoking then try step 2. I have tried to quit before using hypnosis, electric cigarettes, and just quitting cold turkey. Nothing has ever worked but i also wasn't quitting for the right reasons i was quitting for other people. You have to truly want to quit to quit successfully. I was very surprised that it does knock down the cravings. You still have them they are just a lot weaker and can be ignored.
