Robert G. Marbut Jr.: Every woman should be reading this book and then read it again and then study it again!!!
So useful! So true! So well done! Every woman I know who has read it agrees with me!

CC: The Psychological perspective separates this book from the others. We have been conditioned, this starts the rode to reprogramming. Buy the first one and read it and buy this one and read it. This one says a lot that's common sense to.me, but then again I read the first one nearly 15 years ago when I was a lot less savvy lol! So with age comes knowing a whole heck of alot more! Still very relevant.... we live in a culture of low self esteem people around us, this is our guide on how to navigate past them without being rude or deeply affected by their issues... Young ladies should read this starting at age 14 seriously. They need to know thos walking into high school college the work world .... they should revisit it every few years. I'm an attorney and I also work in public relations this book has been my secret weapon for years!!! So glad I found this in my 20s, and had my book club read it, they still thank me to this day...... go forward and do great things Ladies!!!

Amazon Customer: What an incredible book. Its so real. I am guilty of making most of the mistakes mentioned in this book. Though this book os written for workplace setting, it is equally relevant for personal relationships also because nice girls behave ‘nicely’ in and out of the office. This book is helping me in many areas of my life. I recently negotiated a car deal and I could feel the difference in how I sound now. Its a must read for all women. Another thing this book helped me with is to make me realize I am not the only one making these mistakes because I have been very hard on myself for sounding stupid and unconfident. Rather than beating ourselves up, we need to understand the reasons why most women behave ‘nicely ‘ while men go out and conquer the world (and intimidate us) is because of our upbringing and a lot of other external factors. This book provides many many practical tools to change that. I will be rereading this book several times. Make sure you take lots of notes.

Ashima Jain: A while back I read a book that talked about how women can own their power to get ahead in their careers. (Own it: The Power of Women at Work by Sallie Krawcheck)
On the flip side, is it possible they are unconsciously sabotaging those same careers?
Lois P. Frankel argues how, from early childhood, girls are taught that their well being and ultimate success are contingent upon acting in certain stereotypical ways. It is not that women consciously act in self-sabotaging ways. They simply act in ways consistent to their learning experiences.
She explains that the goal is not to act like a poor imitation of a man; rather to act as an adult woman and not the little girl you were taught to be in childhood. It is all about perception, and to change that you need to work on your credibility factor.
The 7-38-55 rule of Personal Communication states that 7% of your credibility comes from the content of your messages, 38% from how you sound (tone of voice, volume etc.) and 55% from how you look (dress, body language, non-verbal messages). The author lists 133 unconscious behavioural mistakes women make which may keep them from rising to the very top of their...

Chiara: As a young woman in a conservative profession, it can be really hard to learn the "rules." There are some really good role models, but there are also some bad role models -- and you don't always know the difference!
I enjoyed this book so much and found it tremendously useful. There are pieces of advice here that I wouldn't find anywhere else. (For example: Don't bring in baked goods to the office -- keep the focus on your work product, not on your tasty muffins.) I am sure that some people will disagree with the advice laid out, and that's okay. Personally, I found this advice incredibly useful in helping me figure out how to approach the non-"work" parts of work so that I will be taken seriously, build a good reputation for my work product, and advance.
I appreciated so much the format and style of this book. I get so sick of "self-improvement" or "advice" books that are heavy on examples, where you have to wade through endless stories that are used as anecdotes or illustrations. I want to get right to the meat of it! And this book is great in that respect. It does contain anecdotes, but they are really brief. Each "chapter" is just a few pages long and gets right...

Erin: At first I did not like this book because I thought the author was encouraging women to behave like men. However, after reading its entirety, I found the book helpful. I found a few things I could improve upon to establish a more professional reputation.
I’ve recommended this book to other people and my mentee in corporate.
