Neptonion Magnetic Aquarium Glass Cleaner: Scrub Away Algae with Ease!

I contacted their support and they sent me a larger one and it works perfect. The price is good , it cleans the tank quickly. It does sometimes skip as I run it on the tank. If you are looking for easy clean this is what you need.

Jay W.: I love that this floats to the top if you accidentally get disconnected from the magnet on the outside of the glass. That makes it so much easier to retrieve! Instead of a felt-like material like some magnetic cleaners have, this has a rougher material somewhat similar to the rough side of velcro (but not as stiff) which makes it great for tough to remove algae, like brown silicate algae (not sure how it might work on acrylic tanks, but it's fine with glass.) The magnet is very strong, and even strong enough to turn corners in your tank, if you're careful.

Ian Bayman: Strong magnet means it doesn’t just pop away when using it. On curved front glass on my tank still manages to do a decent job. On the flat sides is excellent.

AudsHi: Does the job. Easy to use. Only downside is the magnet could be a tiny bit stronger - sometimes you have to go over the areas of the glass a few times if the algae is quite well stuck. Still does the job fine for the price though!

Adam Westaby: I don't have a huge tank (40 gallons), and for the most part it stays relatively algae free--but on occasion a little bit will build up, and this guy does the trick well. The magnet is pretty powerful, and the 'scrubbing' side is coarse enough to usually clear things off after a few passes.

The only draw back is if you have any algae build up in your corners or at/below your gravel--it can get you close, but not quite all the way. Still, a very useful tool to have for your tank.

ordered a new one after the other one started leaking. the new one has now been working for months with no issues so I'm upgrading my review to a 4 star. I'm withholding a star only because the first one was defective and I wish the magnet was a little bit stronger for my thicker glass.

I have a 210 gallon aquarium and The Glass looks like it's about a half inch thick.

this magnet scrubber seems to work great but in using it the first time I had a series of continuous bubbles emanating from the inside the aquarium half of the pair.

strong magnetic attraction through the half inch glass seemed to work great on stubborn brown algae that has grown on the glass. some spots it took 10 or so passes of the inside scrubber to clean this stubborn algae off but I am pleased with the results.

since my aquarium is about 2 ft deep the desire to have a floating magnet is key and my concern is the bubbles indicate water is going into the inside of the aquarium half.

I may just have a manufacturing defect and will replace this unit for what I hope to be a better one from the same manufacturer.
