However, with my chunky MTB SPD pedals, I couldn't get the bootie to stretch over. Ended up returning and sizing up (XL). Bingo.
So be aware if you fitting over MTB SPDs that have a chunky tread you will likely need to size up. I suspect the fit guide is more for smooth road biking shoes.

sunshineface: YO. I am the coldest cyclist around. Always. Cold. I panic-bought these for East Texas Showdown because the weather would be cold and wet at the start and not really warm up much. My toes are ALWAYS cold in my fancy Specialized booties even when I double up with toe covers. These babies kept me SO COZY. I spent 23 hours riding in sub-50s and my feet actually got a bit warm at one point. I had to wade through water and my feet went completely under. They got wet (but only slightly on the inside) and I took them off to hang on the bike to dry off (and they did) but even my summer shoes were just a bit damp and ended up drying before I needed to put the booties on. JUST BUY THEM THEY ARE WORTH IT. They even stretched over my wide Lake cycling shoes. Seriously. these are great. Can't say enough.

NEW: I purchased the shoe covers for my husband. He's worn various brands of neoprene shoe covers over the years. So when he needed new shoe covers I looked at the brands he's familiar with and gasped at some of the prices. A few years ago I purchased a pair of CXWXC toe covers and have been very pleased with them so I decided to purchase CXWXC shoe covers for my husband. He's only used them once so far and he said they're the best he's ever worn. He was happy they offered larger sizes - he doesn't have a big foot but doesn't want the shoe cover to be too tight or a struggle to get them over the shoe. He like the heavy duty zipper versus velco-type closures that some of the expensive brands use. And normally he would use a chemical toe warmer inside the shoe but said it wasn't necessary with the CXWCX covers - they kept his feet toasty warm. Bottom line - best shoe covers ever!

sk123sk123: For the price, these are amazing. I bought them because I was suspicious that booties would help, so I didn't want to spend much. I used them this morning on a 1 hour mountain bike ride in Arizona's dry cold with temperature ranging from 28 - 32F degrees during the ride. I would label them comfortable vs. warm because my toes were very comfortable during the first half hour, then mildly chilly the second half hour. I only used one pair of thicker (bamboo) cycling socks under my shoes and booties for this ride and they were way more comfortable then when I just doubled up my socks and had no booties. The other thing I really like is that zipper location allows me leave the booties on the shoes, ratchet down the Boa (I only have one), then zip up. That saves time in the morning vs. putting on the shoe then the bootie. Last a note on fit: The size chart is true to size IF you are putting them over traditional cross-country cycling shoes, NOT flats or normal shoes. Thus the XL's fit my size 43 Gaerne Hurricane shoes.

JayJay: Very tight fit. I have a size 44.5 cycling shoe and these covers are snug. You might be able to jam a size 46 at max, but nothing larger. I bought the size XXL. Tight on the ankles as well, wearing bulky winter pants might not be an option.
Material is 100% windproof. Water resistant, but not waterproof. A 10 minute ride in the rain had these covers soaked, with fully absorbing water like a towel. Quality appears good, lots of triple stitching.
Only wish the size was a bit more flexible.

Jason Lalli: Work as intended. I would order a size up. With wool socks they kept my feet warm in -3 c temps.

Andre Laurent: These are ok. Not providing the warmth expected.

Moussa: I wear size 9 shoes. Ordered the XLarge size and it's very tight for me. Perhaps it's how it's designed, but keep that in mind. The material and quality is good. I tried it the first time and it's good, but it's NOT waterproof. I went for a ride on a wet rainy day and my feet got water in.

Jan: Arrived very quickly and great quality material, however, beware of size as far too small to fit over trainer despite buying correct shoe size Needed to return item, which is abit of a faf as from the USA.

Zachary Carter: Bought these as I plan for a 2 day bike trip this summer. After experiencing a touch of frostbite this past weekend on a early morning ride I decided to try them as thermal insulators for a ride to work. They performed wonderfully! Arrived at work with warm piggies. Have used them twice in the rain and they work great compared to the alternative of slowly feeling water creep down your sock and settle into your arch then your toes and every stroke of the pedal being a slippery and squishy mess. No one likes that
