spiritbeast: I really like this kit. It was super easy to install and that way you have a custom fitted screen. It's SO much better than those adjustable ones you have to put in and take out all the time. They also never fit that well. This one is great. I will probably get some more of these in the future. Although, if this same company sells all of the spare pieces that is in this kit, I might just buy bulk of it because it's great to have around the house!

VanessaVanessa: Took a bit to get it up on the window but got it. I am not a handy person but instructions were easy to follow, so if I can do it, anyone can.

I got it for my son's window as he didn't have a window screen and he's a happy boy as he can now have his window open again and not worry about hornets coming in anymore, as he's allergic to their sting. So thank you!

Kim HatzisavvaKim Hatzisavva: I would strongly suggest measuring and pre-cutting the magnetic & plastic strips, rather than trying to do it on a ladder. You will also need to reverse the rolls and hold them for a few minutes so they lay flat. This is a fiddly kind of install but, it does work. It's not possible to get the mesh to stretch tight because the magnets come apart if you pull too hard. Overall, it serves me fine because I can now open the window without the Hummingbirds flying in and I can reach my hand out to tend to the feeder. I don't know how durable it is yet because I just put it up.

BeagleBailey: I bought a home with a screened in porch and there were three tears. One small one (maybe an inch) and two larger ones. The larger ones were at the bottom and longer, probably 1-2 feet. This worked on all of them. It was easy to cut and adhesion was perfect. It doesn't disappear so if you are looking for perfection you wouldn't enjoy this. You will see the patches even if you line it up perfectly with the other lines in the screen. This was far better than getting several screens replaced in my case. There is a ton of life left in them and this was perfect just to patch things up. I would buy it again. I still have a lot left of the roll too.

Mr.SharpyMr.Sharpy: So the same story probably goes for everyone, "We needed window screens to keep dust out"

I bought these screens over 1 month ago, they have been in place for over 2 weeks and this is my review to shed some light to future buyers before buying.

Pros: Its a window screen, it does the job, and its fairly simple and adjustable.

But this review is specifically for the struggles I had with this product, starting with the installation.

-- Installation -- : It seems rather easy on paper, but unless your window is in the middle of a wall without any complicated surroundings, then the installation is not gonna be easy, In my particular case my windows are at the corners of my room and I have furniture in front, installing these as 1 guy was not simple, specially due to the adhesive problem I will be talking about later. The instruction that come with the product are not clear enough, I had to look up a review here to understand completely how the installation works. For anyone struggling or curious:
- You first place the magnets on the wall with the adhesive part.

Nawazish Nanji: Cons:
- my screen came with a run in it. Fortunately, I could use a portion of it as my window is small and I could avoid the run.
- Getting the screen to be tight: too tight lifts the magnet, too loose makes the screen saggy
- The screen came folded instead of rolled, so it had crease lines which are difficult to remove if you don't stretch it hard (point 2)
- The plastic is rolled into the box with the adhesive tape on the outside. Thus when i tried to stick it, it tended to turn away from the magnet, thus pulling the corners up. If it can be rolled inwards, then the plastic will not lift the corners.

Pros:
- works with all kinds of windows
- the slide in corners; however a better set of instruction on WHEN to install them would be good. The old instructions are outdated. They had an insert but it didn't really say much.
- Gray screen color which some may like but usually black does a better job of 'vanishing' from sight.
- so far, it works great.
