ClaireWithLove: I have had my straps for 3 years, and I love their sturdiness and durability. They have not stretched and their stitching has never come loose or ripped even with almost 200 pounds in the hammock. They have held up to rain and wind and being bashed against the tree trunk when I have taken my hammock down but left the straps on the tree. The straps will be good for a wide variety of tree configurations due to the length and number of stitched areas you can hang the carbiner.

They are pretty tree friendly and wrap the tree without gouging it. You do need to be gentle wrapping and unwrapping the tree, since the strap is meant to grip the tree and sometimes loose pieces of bark may come off as I sling the strap around a large trunk. I am over-safe by wrapping the extra length around the trunk for extra gripping instead of letting it hang.

I use these for car camping and relaxing on vacation in my hammock. I would bring them on a short backpacking trip but not a long one since they are 14 oz.

Coyle Spring: I really like the straps and LOVE dealing with M&R Industries!
So, usually I'm a rope guy and have a bit of misplaced pride in being able to tie many types of knots but I needed a new hammock and Amazon combined these straps with the hammock so I took a look and everybody seemed to like them so I bought them. Once they arrived however I was disappointed to find that the straps didn't come with the clips you need to actually use the straps! I usually just shrug it off but I had had a long day of yard work and was hoping to throw up the hammock, crack a cold one and feel good about everything I had accomplished that day, but I still had to go out to TSC and grab some clips first.
So when Regis from M&R contacted me I couldn't help but share my experience. As it turns out, Regis had explained that there is another set of straps that they offer that does come with the clips - go figure! Regis didn't stop there however, he was committed to making sure I was well taken care of and offered to send the clips. I told him that was unnecessary since I already got some but he insisted. Samuel Shoji Fukujima Goto: This is my first ever amazon review, after being a customer for almost 8 years now.

TL;DR; My original package never arrived and the sellers reached out to me and offered to send me an extra one. Got the extra set, set that up and got super happy with the product. The sellers just went above and beyond their duties when my original package didn't arrive and I think the way they handled customer service speaks for the quality of their products.

They look very strong to me and I believe they are super high quality. I think what's left to be proven is their width: they are fairly narrow which makes me wonder if they are going to grab the tree trunk and stay put long term. The little that I played with the last couple of days makes me believe that they are actually very tight and won't slip, but I'll need more time to see how this evolves after we throw two or three kids parties and we have 10-20 kids hanging at the swing :)

Amazon Customer: I am happy to announce that I have recieved my straps and my ordering experience via Amazon was perfect. I could not have asked for better service in that capacity.

I am an avid hiker and camper and it is something that I have always loved to do and have done with my kids. I have a good friend and I that like to rough it so to speak and usually use small tents when we go. This last time we went we chose to try hammocks, and I must say after trying them I will never use a tent again. :)

We had used 3/8" paracord to secure our hammocks to the trees and were limited to about a distance of 13' between trees. The paracord stretched some and our hammocks ended up close to being on the ground my morning light.

So I began doing research and came across these straps and ordered a set. I have used them in my backyard already between two trees with a distance of approx 25ft. I am most impressed with the straps. My hammock never slipped down from where I had it set. I laid in it for almost an hour and it was in the same spot when I first put it up. I absolutely love the straps and my buddy and I have already started planning our fall hiking/camping trip.
