Libby: my 6 year old loves these books

S. Walter: These books are great for reading and rereading with kids age 4-8. The pictures are just what you'd expect from National Geographic--they are detailed and colorful and eye-catching. The text is appropriate for this age group both in size and complexity. These are high-interest books. Even adults will likely learn a few new facts.
Kindergarten/Grade 1 students may be able to read some portions aloud with support. Slightly older students may enjoy this book and others in the series for independent reading.

Anandprasad Date: I guess I made mistake in selecting as I wanted advanced reading level.
Otherwise the book is good, illustrative and inforamtive.

B_stein8B_stein8: We love this book as well as all the others like it. They’re full of great facts, amazing pictures, and cute little jokes. These are littles side notes “facts” on most pages reiterating specifics about each individual book as well. We love that each book is divided into sections about about a different animal/type. These are all a great addition to any home library for the animal lover in your family! We use this as part of our homeschool library for the little ones to take control of their own learning environment.
