Neil: Had these lights for a couple of months now and both lights were very bright initially, however they have gradually lost intensity, its almost like they are stuck on half power. Very disappointing.

L. Meinert: I installed this over the steps to my deck for safety in the dark. It works great - the motion sensor lights the steps when approached and it turns off after several seconds. There are 3 settings to choose from = dim all the time then bright when motion is detected; off until motion is detected then on for a bit; or on at dusk off at dawn. It's solar so no batteries needed.

Anon Customer: The battery it came with turns out to be rated as 300 cycles. After 10 months it would discharge and turn off before dawn which requires climbing up to it to push the button to get it back on the next night. O replaced that battery with one rated at 900 cycles which should give me 2 1/2 years. Also the battery was soldered in but the case is designed for a snap in battery which would be more convenient. If the light would not revert to off at battery discharge it would help as well. Not dissatisfied but longer life battery and not resetting would be preferred.

RobertFrye: Assembly for me was a bit harder because I wanted the lights inside my utility shed, while (of course) the solar collectors need to be outside. I had to drill a sizeable hole in the wall of my shed to get the 90 degree plug through. But once installed, they work perfect. I can now go into my shed at night and see what I'm doing.

TJ: Be aware before you buy this that if your intent is to let the light stay on until the battery is dead you need to mount it where you can push the button to reset modes. It has 4 "modes." 1)-Off; 2)-Motion Detect On Bright; 3)-Motion Detect On Dim; 4)-Turns on when dark and stays on for 4-5 hours until the battery is exhausted.

The problem is when the battery is exhausted it automatically resets to the "off" mode. So if you mount it where you can't EASILY push that setting button, the light just stays off from then on until you reset it. I mounted it where the light itself is inside a glass globe, while the solar panel is outside and out of the shade. Set it to the Mode 4 - on from dusk until the battery is out. But once the battery is exhausted it defaults back to "off" and each evening I have to open up that glass globe and turn the thing back on! Silly design, I think. Especially if you have to climb a ladder to push the button. Other than that it's a great light. The one I set onto "motion detect on" works great because the battery never runs out. But the "constantly on at dark" mode is no good unless you're willing and able to go push the on button every day.
