Sarah: So we bounced back and forth on rather to return these are not. Our application was to put them on the brick wall in our front yard to hold lights to light up our pathway. Our bricks have mortar that make it almost flush with the brick ledge. The great debate for us was what do we scrape some of the mortar away as the videos suggest or do return the items and drill holes in our brick wall to attach our lights. Needless to say we opted to scrap some of the mortar away and give it a try. As of to date we are fairly pleased with the outcome of our efforts. I'm not sure in our situation that it would be weight baring do to our brick and mortar being so flush. Once you scrape away the mortar it is relatively easy to pop on the brick.

ConnieinOklaConnieinOkla: These are brick clips. If you have a recessed mortar line, these work great. Also be sure to follow directions and put the bottom on first and force the top up to get the best results. They could probably handle a few pounds. They certainly work for my needs.

Natalie Legere: Your bricks need to be deep and even and the teeth on these things are probably less than 1/8” I wouldn’t trust them to hold anything of value, personally. Maybe balloons or a banner, but they’re like 2$ a piece. If it works week for other people more power to you!

Brenda: These are ok. For the price they are what you would expect. I have them holding jute twine on my house bricks for summer vine to climb. They would not grip the brick tight enough for a plantet I don't think. I can pluck them off the brick easily.

lucia: This year, my parents wanted me to string Christmas lights along the wall caps of their yard. After making several trips to local hardware stores and not finding any wall hooks whatsoever, I did a product search on Amazon, and I found these amazing clips. They are very strong, and they have a double row of hooks that allowed me to string two rows of lights along the top of their garden walls. I like the fact that their natural finish blends nicely with the wall, and they have a low profile that doesn't distract one from the beauty of the lights. For the most part, I am pleased with this product.

One reason for the four-star rating is they became rusty very quickly. My family lives in Southern California, where the skies are usually sunny. However, it rained a couple of days during the holiday season, and the hooks have a lot of rust on them. They also left a few rust marks on the wall that I removed. Before using the hooks again, I will treat them with a rust-preventative. Finally, a small design change would make them easier to use. The top edge of the hooks would benefit from a 1/8th-inch extension in the direction that parallels the wall cap. This would allow the teeth...

Jon Haesler: From what I can see these are the smallest hangers of this type. Unfortunately they are about 3/8” too big. I believe that I have what you would call standard size bricks. I also check bricks in other locations and they were the same as mine. I was able to get the hangers to work by bending them. Again not sure what kinda of bricks these were made for. Nice concept But we’re too big.

E.M.: This is a great product. Wasn't sure if it would really work of if it would break when I put it on the brick. The hooks are made of very sturdy steel. Put the bottom on first, then push up to connect the teeth part on top of the brick. Stays in place very well. I have a clock that the hole is drilled into the clock in a teardrop shape. I wanted to bend one of the clips outward a bit to fit in the hole. Couldn't do it with my fingers alone because the clip is so hard to move...which means good quality. Grabbed a pair of plyers and bent it outward a bit and now it fits my clock. All other pictures hang perfectly. Go ahead and buy this, you won't regret it. Make sure you measure your brick first and make sure the mortar doesn't go to the edges of the bricks, or there won't be any room to grip the hanger.

Chewie’s mom: If you are looking to purchase these, make sure that the mortar between bricks isn't flush with the bricks. You need to have some space below the brick in the mortar area to have the base of these to click into. The apartment building I am moving into has the mortar flush with the bricks so I am out of luck. Missed the ability to return them by one week :-(
