SeahawkGirl: This is my second purchase of this scale. My previous version lasted over 5 years without any issues. It had just been thrown in and out of a closet for that time and had gotten banged up. The scale still worked but I wanted a newer, prettier version without the scrapes and dings. I have found it to be accurate and match closely with my doctor's scale weight. My favorite part is there is plenty of room to stand on the scale and not feel like you are hanging off each side. The voice that calls out the weight is also nice because you do not need to bend over at all to read the display.

Jeff: Ill be honest. My only gripe with this scale is the looks. It could have been down better, bought this scale back in 2016. I weighed 530 pounds and had just had gastric sleeve surgery. This was the only scale that went that high. and she talked :). HELLO. FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY POUNDS. Then s few seconds later a sad GOOD BYE. I’ve lost a total of 300 pounds and this scale has never failed me during my journey. I leveled off 3 years ago and my weight didn’t change much then 6 months ago I started losing again and I finally got to my goal weight of 230 which I have never weighed my entire adult life This scale showed me my dream come true and a few weeks later I inadvertently destroyed her. As I said earlier my only gripe was the looked. So I decided to give a makeover. Took it all apart everything. Got cleaned, painted and polished. The new look was Toreodor red with stainless steel accents. ( I work in a autobody shop lol ) As I was reassembling the lcd screen got cracked and like that it was over. she was gone 7 years, 300 pounds, and 2 sets of batteries at least her final words were GOODBYE

They are accurate to the gram, and not only that, they are talking scales so not only to i get a very clear visual, i also get a loud pronouncement of my weight too by the scales - they are so accurate, and difficult to manipulate, so my other half knows i am not lying when i weigh....

Stephanie Boynton: I have been using this scale for over a year now, and it works great. Easy and simple to use with a loud voice to announce your weight. If you don't want it to speak to you there is a switch on the bottom that turns that function off. If you are like me and are embarrassed about your weight and don't want anyone hearing definitely turn this function off. Like I said it is loud, you can here it two rooms away in my house with all the doors closed in-between. As for the weight limit I can't confirm its 550lb limit, I haven't tried that much weight. But I personally hit a high of 505lbs and it had no problems. It is also pretty durable it's been kicked around some and dropped twice from about a height of 3ft.

Overall I would definitely recommend this scale, it is well worth the money.

Just a regular person: This scale works as advertised and gets the job done, but it's certainly lacking in build quality. The main plate that you step on is plastic and feels cheap, and on my unit the plastic bezel covering the display became unglued and fell off during shipping. It was no problem to just stick it back on, but you can tell that this product practically screams cheapness. And that's not necessarily a bad thing; at this price point you can't expect a precision instrument, and like I said, it does a satisfactory job of measuring weight.

The speaker has an on/off switch, but no volume control. For those of you that might be feeling a little self-conscious about others hearing your weight, the voice is a bit on the loud side. However, you can easily remedy that yourself, as the location of the speaker is very evident by the slots on the bottom plate that are there to let the sound carry through. Take some tape (I used Scotch tape, but any type would probably work) and cover those slots and the sound will be muffled, but still loud enough to hear. You could probably add more tape if you wanted it softer. It would definitely be nice if the product offered an...
