Tam Hintz: Bought a medium a year ago and it has been great for my dog and still in perfect condition. Ordered a large and ended up getting an extra large. Big enough for a St Barnard. Way to big for my Tamaskan. Afraid to re-order because I might get another X large and it doesn't appear they have large now. Have to wait and see if they get more.

zicri alonso: I bought the XL for my dog according to the measurements I have a German Shepard his past 2 years of age his a big dog. Well his face was swimming in it, I do recommend the product it seems a comfortable mouth guard and my dog had no issue trying it on. I do recommend to size down or stick with what you think fits your dog.

srodriguez70: I bought this to keep my dog #1 to keep him from barking when he went outside, and #2 to keep him from licking his wound while it healed. I love the fact that they can still drink water through the muzzle, so you can leave it on for a while without worry. It also worked great in keeping him quiet! Seemed very comfortable and was super easy to put on/take off!

However the mesh is made of plastic that was easy for him to claw through, so it didn't really work for the not-licking part. I sewed it up just so I could keep using it as a non-barking muzzle, but for the licking part I'd probably go for something of a different design.

But being able to drink while maintaining a quiet dog, and at a reasonable price, I would still recommend this! :)

Chris Burns: I measured my dog, and - thought she measured a Med; and - it was WAY too big. She managed to get out of it very quickly, and chew it up pretty good before I could get it away - was going to return it, but - couldn't after that. Bought a small, and it ended up being a perfect fit.

My dog eats everything when she's outside - leaves, sticks, bugs, dirt, rocks - everything. I thought this will eventually become an obstruction problem, so - we're going with a muzzle when she's out unsupervised, just to be safe. it works perfectly; but - because the material is so thin and light (good things, my dog doesn't mind wearing it), but it wears out quickly. Just from dragging her nose on the ground TRYING to pick things up - she's started to wear holes in it. I've gotten about 3 months of use out of it before getting to the point where it should be replaced. Not a bad value, even if I have to replace them every once in a while - cheaper than an ER visit for the doggo.

N64Grandma: Our 8 mo old sheltie was constantly eating leaves and twigs and dirty snow while in the yard. This little muzzle has worked great to prevent that and the risk of possible expensive vet bills. He wore it with no protest from the first time. We like that he can drink while wearing it. We bought a second one to have on have in case the first one gets too soiled and needs washing. Highly recommend this product.

Update:
After wearing it a while he learned to push back the front of the muzzle against the ground, freeing him to eat off the ground! Ugh! I have to figure out a way to alter it so he can't do that. The muzzle is a perfect fit around the snout but longer than his snout; too much loose material beneath the open nose area allows him to push the material under his chin. For this issue, I downgraded one star.

EdenEden: My dog hates this muzzle. We've used a basket baskerville one since she was really little, and she hated that even more. I bought this kind instead of the basket because she eats rocks and dirt, and she could reach them through those large holes. I was hoping this mesh would prevent her from that, but she soon learned that she can push the bottom part down her chin when she runs her face on the ground. That was easily solved with me hooking the top and bottom together with a safety pin. However, she can still put things in her mouth since there is a lot of space inside (I wouldn't want a smaller size, though, because then she wouldn't be able to pant). Only a few weeks after buying it, the rubber coating is coming off of the string mesh, and the mesh is getting large holes in it. Finally, I had to tie the cinch because it kept getting loose and she was able to slip the string over her ears and off. Overall, I will continue to use it since it generally deters her from being naughty, but it isn't ideal. However, one good use is that she was just spayed, so sometimes we use this instead of her cone so that she can't lick or bite at the incision.

Elisabeth Bingham: I bought this for a dog with skin allergies who exploded with them this spring. The medicated baths, supplements, and meds haven't kept him from chewing and licking himself to elephant skin and after months with the cone and him still getting to his back feet (and all the frustrations of a cone anyway), I found this muzzle.

After him getting off his face a couple of times, I found a good fit and he accepted it. (I do think making the adjustable strap to be able to cut to fit would be a design improvement, so you don't have to choose between cutting off the finished end or letting it flap around.) It doesn't rub him raw and he doesn't mind it too much and he can drink.

Unfortunately, after less than two weeks, he'd chewed and scratched almost through the mesh on the bottom, but another week and some gorilla tape later, he hasn't gotten all the way through. I'm trying another brand in hopes it's a little stronger, but I might go back to the cone until we get past this if I have to buy a new one every two or three weeks.

Also, he's got a pointy nose, so I did have to use a needle and thread to keep him from being able to shove his nose through the "treat hole,"...
