Mungyo 64-Piece Soft Pastel Square Chalk Set – US English Version

D. GarciaD. Garcia: I bought this set along with the 72 Faber Castell to see which one is like and honestly I love both. I do feel that the FB is just a tiny bit better at blending, but it's so subtle it's hardly noticeable. One thing I found is that the Mungyo has a few colors that are not found in the FB set although I'm not sure if the color difference comes out in the photo, it is noticeable in person. I think it's good to have many different pastels in different tones and both of these sets are perfect together. I think both sets came out to about thirty three total and for 136 pastels that not a bad deal so I think they are both affordable, especially if you wait for a sale. The FB half pastels are slightly longer that the Mungyo minis but only about 1/3 of an inch. I'm keeping both of them. I also think the packaging has been updated to prevent what I was seeing the problem in other reviews. A plastic insert has been added and I had no issues with mine arriving a hot mess. Please excuse my terrible sample art, it's my first time with pastels, lol! Yvonne Scholey: The panels were peppered with bits of charcoal that had come off of the charcoal stick provided in the set, also some of the pastels were very “gritty” and did not blend well. On the plus side there were plenty of colour choices. Probably wouldn’t buy again.

C H: I have purchased many different brands of chalk pastels over the past few years for my polymer clay creations and usually steered away from inexpensive ones, but another artist used these and her work is gorgeous so I figured I would give them a try. While the pieces are very small, the color assortment is very nice. None were broken, but one darker color was all over the other pieces, so I have been wiping them off as I use a color for the first time. The only thing that confused me is that the box says Mungyo but the brand on Amazon is YoCosii.

Riley Dahle: If you have a background in art I’d say these are pretty simple to pick up on. I mostly use these for doll repaints/ sculptures. One tip I will leave is that these need to be layered. The pastels come off rather sheer which is nice because you can always build up color.

Surtout, le blanc et le noir . Mais on ne peut pas dire que nous ne sommes pas au courant avant d'acheter. C'est juste qu'il faut en avoir bien conscience 😉
