AvielAviel: The media could not be loaded. I loved working with these oil pastels. So far I love it’s density with the oil but it’s not so easy to manipulate with tools such as smudging with fingers. It feels only a couple of steps down from Sennelier Oil Pastels, which I love.

JayN: I have not used the set extensively yet, and my experience with cray pas or oil pastel is limited. I bought the set because a Japanese painter, Shibasaki Watercolor, on YouTube had recommended it, and had demonstrated the smoothness and blending capabilities. As a mixed media painter, I wanted to use cray pas to mark making principally. I am very pleased with the results I’m getting so far because of the quality of the pigment and smooth application.

tenniis: I found these oil pastels to be pretty good quality. To cut to the chase these are a decent quality, but nowhere as good as other oil pastels. Sure, they are a bit creamy but it’s not the smoothest application. It took me awhile to build the layers of color because of their stiffness, so I ended up using a lot more pastel than expected. Overall, I think these are good if you want to try out pastels that are a higher quality, but don’t want to shell out a million dollars for Senneliers to try out.
The only issues I have with this set is that there aren’t a lot of browns to choose from when doing animal portraits.
I had an oil pastel set before that was honestly horrendous, but this pastel set has lifted my faith in this medium. I look forward to doing more portraits and experimenting with these.

FV: Bonne qualité de pastels à l'huile. Couleurs assez foncées. On pourrait avoir plus de couleurs claires dans la boîte.
