Stroppy1Stroppy1: The media could not be loaded. I have owned espresso machines in the past and they have been great, and this is my first experience using a machine that takes pods. It arrived intact (always good) and it was quite compact. It could fit just about anywhere on a cluttered kitchen counter top. It is quite heavy too so I knew it was well-made. It's made in Austria (Arnold Schwarznegger), not AUSTRALIA (Crocodile Dundee).
I bought some nespresso pods separately, unfortunately with no Prime shipping hoping they were the correct size. Fortunately they were, they fit great. They are the tiny pods, made for a single espresso shot only.
You have to run a bit of fresh water through it before using it and that's when I noticed the noise. This thing is LOUD! I swear if it wakes my wife when she's trying to sleep I am going to be in for a very bad day. I love the plastic jug-urn-water-holding-thingy with mathematical lines and markers all over it that is on the back. That means no refilling every time I want a cup... at least not for a few cups anyway.

I ordered it 2 weeks ago. When it arrived I plugged it in and wanted to do the initial cleaning, but it wouldn’t start brewing. The instruction pamphlet was pretty straight forward, but before I return it, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong so I gave their customer service a call. Since no one responded (I called at off hours), I left a message to call me back. I decided to try it one more time, picked it up and it started brewing. Therefore, I realized that is losing the contact somewhere and that is defective, so I packed it up to return it the next day. I wasn’t frustrated as I understand things can happen + I have Prime so the returns are free and easy.
The next day they called and left me a voicemail apologizing for the inconvenience and had asked me to call them back to their direct number, or just to text them my order ID and they will send me the replacement machine right away.
