michael peterson: We bought this a year ago and we think it's the best coffee maker we've had. For years we used mr. coffee and we decided to try this. Nice difference .The coffee tastes better. Our daughter had commented on it and we got one for her as a gift. We will definitely get this again when we need to replace it.

GMJ: No frills, no programmable feature, just good coffee. Because I was drinking more than two cups of coffee every morning, my preference was for a maker with a stainless steel pot that kept coffee reasonably hot, without having to worry about forgetting to shut the coffee maker heating element off. Now that the limit is one-two cups a day, this maker is perfect because the coffee from this glass carafe Mueller has the best flavor of all...and why I kept using this one (which was originally bought as a back up for when my maker with a carafe died since not willing to go without a morning cuppa, so always have an inexpensive backup waiting in the pantry). FYI: I've had no mold issues since I made it a practice to remove the grounds, rinse the insert holding a filter, and fully open the lid after pouring the first cup. Later the lid is lowered but kept partially open while stored until next morning. Am writing this review now, after receiving a courtesy email from Amazon re: class action lawsuit. Seems this little gem is not made in Austria at all, despite how it is portrayed in descriptions. Maybe that has something to do with how soon other comments talk about their coffee maker's...

R. Mason: A lovely looking coffee maker but.......
It has a plug for the USA not the UK.
I bought one and it had a US plug on it. The seller (BestQuality Mall) gave me a refund.
Another supplier I contacted has just informed that their's also does not have a UK plug.

Nick: Update: The machine died seven months in
A few days ago when I had company for the holidays, my machine completely kicked it. Light would come on, but no water would brew and no heat came on the hot plate. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal and I would order a new one, but it was the day after Christmas and I had guests, so I had to run out to the grocery store and buy a $20 Toastmaster to bring back home.
I'm a little disappointed in durability. I am absolutely aware that I am rough coffee customer, making at least 4 full twelve-or-sixteen ounce mugs a day and more when I have company, and I also left the hot plate on every day for a few hours between mugs. Still, this machine didn't even last as long as my first Keurig, and that thing died quick.
I put this machine through it's paces, and was never disappointed by its quality or its performance. It made its last cup as good as its first, never developed off-tastes or anything. Its built-in coffee basket was good, and when used with paper filters I find it made a very fine cup of coffee. I am, however, admittedly still disappointed that it went so soon.
Would I buy it again? Well, I had to buy the Toastmaster that...
