tb3: I took a flyer on this product, thinking that I might want to get away from the aging plastic associated with my old Bodum. Here's what I've found after having had it for several days.
1. It keeps heat far better than my glass french press.
2. The marks of 6.5 and 13 ounces inside are good enough that I don't have the type of problems w/measurement that I was concerned about. Heck, I thought I'd be using this for tea.
3. This IS a very narrow french press. It's NOT wide enough for a person to easily reach in and wipe away what's left over -- the brush that comes with it is nearly 100% necessary. But -- even though cleaning's harder it cleans out the grounds well enough to make it an easy cleanup via sink or dishwasher.
Honestly, I've had a pleasant surprise. There's no plastic within, it's pretty durable, and I am getting good coffee from it. Review to be updated should I experience problems - but I foresee none. I'm happy with what I got.
(Update after several months: No changes in opinion. Look -- it works. It has good has good heat retention, it's attractive enough, all parts are durable, and it's well manufactured. Would I buy from this manufacturer...

22: ( 21 oz vers. ) Very pleased with this french press.
I've been using this pot for nearly two month now, 3+ times per day, and I don't see where it could fail me in the future. I was a bit concerned at first because the handle was not soldered at a perfect right angle to the pot but it's holding quite strong. A tip for other users migrating from the Bodum glass french press (or any glass press pot for that matter): I'm personally not a fan of scalding hot coffee as other users seem to be. At first, I found the coffee from this pot much too scalding for my liking but it was very easy to remedy. I simply leave the lid off completely (or ajar) in order to allow the heat to dissipate from the hot water during the brewing process. Problem solved.

Also of note: I love the water-level markings on the inside of the pot, which I find indispensable (and one of the primary reasons I selected this brand over the others available). In the case of this 21 oz version: the markings are at: 200ml, 400ml, and 600ml/21oz/Max.

Frank H: If you love coffee, there's just no substitute for a French press. A friend of mine at work keeps one in the office along with a grinder so the coffee's always nice and fresh. He made me some and I had to get one for myself. Takes a little longer than a Keurig (obviously) but it's totally worth it. Morning and mid-afternoon coffee is now an event I look forward to rather than just a routine.
This little press is perfect for one person. It's about 20 oz. so the actual amount you can drink is probably more like 16 when you account for the grounds at the bottom. I get a full cup plus enough to top it off and warm it up after I drink half the cup. The double wall design keeps the remaining coffee in the press nice and hot. The outside and bottom are warm but you won't burn your hand or your table or desk. Stainless steel design is very easy to clean.
Only caution I have is that if you want to make coffee for more than one person you'll need a larger press.

PavePave: Originally I purchased a 12 oz french press, however I found that it was just barely big enough for a large cup of coffee. It was also too narrow to easily get your hand in it to clean the interior.
The cup shown in the picture holds about 10 oz. of coffee.
Pros:
* Great size. It fits on the counter nicely and doesn't take up much room.
* This 21 oz. press holds enough coffee to "top off" my cup or to make 2 cups at the same time.
* Easy to clean - wide enough to get your hand in it to clean the bottom.
* Double wall stainless steel keeps the coffee hotter longer.
* Won't break like a glass french press... (personally I've broken two in the past).
* It has a mark on the lid which identifies the pour spout opening.
* Makes a great cup of coffee. The taste you get from a french press is much better than a drip coffee maker. It's hard to explain the difference - other than it's definitely a richer taste. I actually retired my Keurig!
Cons:
* Very minor suggestion: It's a very shiny stainless steel (which looks nice), but in order to prevent scratches, I use a soft sponge to clean it and a micro-fiber cloth to dry it.
Hope this helps...

Zezito: One morning when I was still half asleep, I knocked my glass French press coffee maker off of the counter. It fell on the floor and shattered into a thousand pieces. I cursed and got the dust pan. I also decided that I was done with glass French presses. This is my replacement, and it is so much better.
There is a lot to like about this French press.
- It's not breakable. So we klutzes can keep it for a long time.
- The handle is comfortable and easy to hold.
- The insulation is great. My coffee doesn't get cold while it's brewing.
- The markings on the inside are very useful. I don't have to get a measuring cup to measure my water when making coffee.
- The shiny finish is nice. It does easily get water marks, but a quick rub with a towel takes them away.
- No one else has mentioned this, but the long spout is very nice. You won't find that on any glass French press. It makes it easy to pour the coffee without drips. I also use this to filter my cold brew, and I am able to pour it directly into my storage bottle without a funnel thanks to the long spout.
- The filter works great. I haven't found any grounds in my coffee yet. (I do use a coarse grind;...

竜三: しっかりした作りでフレンチプレスとしては一般的な構造です。手入れもしやすく特に問題はありません。お湯を入れる目安のメモリが少ないのと見にくいのが改善されたら言うことなしですね。
