The shoulder straps are nicely padded, has a chest strap to help hold them in place, and a waist belt. It holds a nice sized water bladder, has an outlet for the drink tube, and a clip on the shoulder strap to keep it handy and prevents it from flopping around. The main compartment holds enough for a day trip. Rather than messing with the water bladder, I usually just put 3-4 bottled waters in the main compartment, and there's still plenty of room for snacks. It won't hold bulky clothing, but light layers fit in nicely, and the bungees on the back give you added room for a light sweater, or rain jacket. I've hiked to the top of Angel's Landing in Zion with it, and use it on my daily hikes and it has held up well. Seems durable and well constructed. I highly recommend this pack for it's light weight, comfort, capacity, and features.

Anna Rae: This was 100% worth every penny! I did so much research before buying and I was so glad this held up incredibly well.
I got caught in a monsoon on the side of a mountain while hiking in Arizona. This backpack kept all my belongings dry! Water bladder is a great size and was easy to use / set up.
Before I went hiking with it, I cleaned it it out once with warm water and a touch of dish soap and let it sit for 15 mins. It had no soapy or plastic-y taste at all for the rest of hikes with it! Easy to fill and use. Stayed secure throughout hours of hiking between 4 days, and fit protein bars, jerky, pretzel buns, extra socks, a water bottle, and a towel.
Fantastic bag for day hiking. My boyfriend and brother also bought one each and no one else had an issue. Highly recommend as a cheaper / mid tier option for someone who hikes but can’t justify a higher price because they don’t get to often.

Author at Home: Pros: Affordable, Lightweight, Has compartments, Does the job
Cons: Small, designed for shorter riders, mediocre features
Recommendation: This is a good hydration pack. Not perfect, not awesome, but good. First off, it holds 2L of water, comes with the bladder/drinking tube/bite valve. It does not come w/ a hangar to dry out your bladder after cleaning, but it does come with a very long metal pipe cleaner to clean your tube. The compartment that holds the bladder is "insulated" (think of the foil backing you may find in a fabric lunch box) and there is room for more than just the water bladder. When cold water or water with ice is in the bladder, I found water would condense along the bottom of the pack. At first I thought it was leaking but as soon as the water was closer to room temperature, the wetness was gone. This is something to keep in mid should you choose to put something else back there alongside the bladder. The other storage compartments work reasonably well. The zipper compartment holds (when I'm out biking) a 29 innertube, my first aid kit, wallet, phone and could store a spare set of cheap sunglasses (#ZZTop.) There's a mesh net at the bottom of the...

Roger B. Atkins: Nothing is perfect, so I seldom give 5 stars, but I would be inclined to award 4.5 stars if it were possible.
The pack will hold 2 hydration bladders, 2 liters each, and provides Velcro straps to hold the bladders upright. The pack has exits for the drinking tubes. The exits are at top left and top right so the drinking tube will run down near the shoulder strap instead of rubbing against your neck. The drinking tube comes with black insulation material around it to absorb heat. Without the insulation, the water in the exposed part of the tube can get very warm during summer. I usually carry only one bladder, and I run the tube through the opening at the top left, down through a loop on the left shoulder strap. There is a clip on the right shoulder strap and I put the thin plastic strip, that attaches the cap to the end of the drinking tube, under the clip to hold the drinking tube in place for easy access. The pack itself is light. It has nice storage features including zipper pockets in the waist belt, and an adjustable cord/lace above a mesh pocket on the back of the pack. I put my rain poncho in the mesh pocket with the upper part secured under the cords. I have a 'fanny'...

J. C-Burn: I agree with all of the good reviews already left. The only complaints I’ve seen or had relate to the temperature of the water that’s left in the tube. For me I use this snowmobiling so the water would freeze at the mouthpiece. And for others get too warm, so to remedy this You can blow whatever is left in the tube back into the bag then raise the tube above the bag to vent it then close so no water can come back in. Worked for me when I needed a drink again and just remember to drain. And I’ll revent it here and there to make sure no water is staying there to freeze. The mouthpiece is usually lower the water level so some can return. If this happens I usually can suck on the mouthpiece for a few minutes to warm it up and get it freed up again. But it’s super nice to have half a gallon of cold water at the ready! Great item no doubt
