AKTREKER: Nothing more dangerous than something you can't see that can kill you - so having this in my motorhome was a must as it should be for anyone that uses propane or has a risk of exposure from carbon gas poisoning.

The motorhome I have is pretty old and the unit within just as old. I've read they should be replaced every 5 years. Made sense to replace the one that was over 20 years old.

I already have a CO detector but the added feature of CO detection just adds an additional layer of protection, which I like.

To install I just pulled the screws from my old one and cut the wires leaving enough slack for the new unit, which I attached with wire nuts and then screwed the new unit where the old one was. This unit was slightly more narrow, but fit just fine.

It's well constructed, easy to install and so far has worked reliably.

Kindle Customer: It was a direct replacement for what came in my RV. it said replace after five years and the original went out in exactly 5 years. Having said all that, It was good to be dual protected all the time we were sleeping in the unit. Good product and prompt shipment from the company.
