These are so great for my 18 month old! I know they’re not meant for her age, but she doesn’t try to eat them at all. The color payoff is excellent…they require so little hand pressure to draw in vibrant colors, it keeps her interested in coloring way longer than regular crayons! We have concrete floors, so when she gives in to her urge to draw on the floor rather than paper, the marks clean right up with just a baby wipe! I don’t know how easy it is to clean these off of other flooring types though. The smell of these is also great! So glad they chose a nice scent for black instead of licorice.

I bought this for a young child and was WAY messier then I anticipated. I thought the scents and twistable handle would be a fun gimmick to colour with. However, these crayons are way softer then traditional wax crayons. More like an oil pastel. A child using this would get covered in pigment all down their arms and hands. That said, they were bright and fun for an afternoon. Recommend supervision for younger or more artistically ambitious children.

I was watching an Art For Kids Hub video called “How to Draw A Funny Falling Apple” when these awesome crayons were used to color in the picture. I immediately though I need those so I bought them right then and there.
These are chubby gel based crayons that twist upward to continue using. If you have ever used gel eyeliner, this is exactly what it feels like on paper. It’s so smooth and delicious feeling. Like skating on a newly paved road.
Anyway, this pack came with 12 colors. They are Mr. Sketch so they have have yummy scents.
Pink-watermelon
Dark pink-strawberry ice cream
Red-cherry
Orange-orange
Yellow-banana
Green-mint
Dark green-apple
Blue-blueberry
Purple-grape
Brown-cinnamon
Black-black raspberry (not licorice, thankfully)
White-vanilla icing
These start off “wet” were the gel can be mixed with other colors. I mixed a little black with white to make gray. The crayons smudge like pastels at the beginning, but after a few mins mostly “dry” where there is hardly any transfer.
Highly recommend for any child or adult that loves to draw or color. These are the size of jumbo crayons...

The kids enjoy the drawing texture of these but they are so messy. They crumble everywhere and stain everything. These are not easily washable. The case also arrived cracked which was disappointing as I had hoped to store them in there.

My kids and I have had a blast with these! They do not color at all as smoothly as regular crayola crayons, but they do smell good. Some of the colors you can barely smell, and some are more strong. But either way, coloring with an 8, 6, and 2 year old is simply more fun with these. We are not doing major art projects, we color specifically to have fun with the smells. If they are working on something more serious, we use nicer crayons. These are just thicker for whatever reason. I should add, though, that my kids don't notice the difference, but I do. In addition, they seem to wear down faster than a regular crayola crayon. We have only had them a month and some of the colors are almost gone. I do love that they are twist-up style, though!! Helps with the breakage majorly!!
Because the smell part is a bit inconsistent, I wouldn't pay a ton for them, and I happened to grab them when they discounted pretty deeply discounted. Also, because they don't last very long, I would not buy them again unless I caught a really good deal (which, to me would be around $3-$4).
