Steve B: The first thing I noticed was how narrow the basket is. It's almost too narrow for the standard 4-cup paper filters. So the water level in the coffee grounds while brewing is deeper than my old 5 cup coffee maker (different brand) and this tends to make the saturated coffee grounds ride up high on the sides of the filter. If you put more than 2 or 3 tablespoons of coffee into the basket the coffee grounds will spill over into the pot. I like my coffee on the stronger side so I can only make 2 or 3 cups with this coffee maker.

The second thing I noticed is the coffee tends to be slightly bitter compared to my old coffee maker. I think the water stays in the basket longer due to the deep and narrow filter basket. I've read longer contact time of the hot water with the grounds can make coffee more bitter. Also, the spray head is only 1 inch wide, so the water hits the center of the grounds rather than being more distributed.

Overall it's a nice little coffee maker but it may not be best for those who like a stronger cup. I went back to my old coffee maker. I doesn't look as nice in my kitchen but it makes better coffee for my style of coffee.

Kimberly Hill: I LOVE this pot. I had a cuisinart single brew with a water tank that broke after my mom was kind enough to “clean it”. Truth be told, she did me a favor. The old machine would only make a cup at a time, never got the coffee as hot as I’d like, and make a sputtering mess.

This pot is perfect. I’m the only coffee drinker in my home, and this is a great size for one really big mug or two small mugs. It has a delay brew timer and an easy to clean reusable filter. I should have gotten this inexpensive, easy to use coffee maker to begin with. Don’t try to be so fancy - go with a trusted friend!!!

Patricia V.: Apenas la probé el día de ayer 02/05/2023 y es super fácil y practica, la compre para tenerla en la oficina justo en mi escritorio :)
Voy a usarla 6 días a la semana vamos a ver que tal funciona y seguiré comentando en el proceso, como dato importante el filtro de agua que es la el que se pone arriba del filtro del café, se tiene que cambiar 1 vez por mes o bien cuando cuentes 30 filtraciones, esto optimiza el uso y mantiene libre los minerales del agua al mecanismo de nuestra cafetera; espero les sirva mi comentario!! :)

ASilkASilk: Bought this to replace my ancient 4 cup brewer. Looks good & good size for 1 or 2 people (pic 1). It comes with a filter basket but I use small size paper filters & run a little water to keep sides from flopping over. Both the supplied filter basket & the regular basket come out for easy cleaning. I didn't have problem with swing arm knocking over filter paper (pic 2). I poured in exactly 5 cups as measured by the pot & got out exactly 5 cups (pic 3). The autopause worked as its intended. Only 2-3 drops of liquid when I removed pot in the middle of the brew. The delayed brew worked as it should. Just remember to push the "delay" button then WAIT for the clock to blink before setting the delay time. I was too quick & just reset the clock function instead of setting the delay time. It made some gurgling noise during brewing but nothing loud or unexpected. Lastly - pic 4 shows a few plastic pieces that fell out of the box when I took everything out. Don't know where they came from or if they belonged to anything in the brewer but it works perfectly & nothing leaks. Hopefully it will last as long as my old brewer.
