Roland Alexander: Many of the reviews here are three, four, and five years old. Based on the comments, it’s clear the manufacturer has addressed many design issues brought up by the older 1 and 2 star reviews. I find the stand to be sturdy, well constructed, well balanced, and an excellent value for the money. The instructions, well, they could use some help, but are useful if you 1) are patient and 2) do not take them too literally. I thought I would use this review to give some advice on assembly.
WHAT I MOUNTED: New (2022) Samsung 50” UHD, weight approx. 20 lbs / 9 kg
HOW LONG IT TOOK ME: Two hours and thirty minutes (2.5 hours), which includes the time I spent getting my tools, assembling the stand, cleaning up afterwards, and putting my tools away. I’m providing this because many reviewers complained that it took them four hours or more to assemble.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: A #2 or #3 Phillips bit or screwdriver, and a 13mm socket or open-end wrench (a crescent wrench will do as well). Brooklyn CPA: Finally go around to putting this stand together. The stand was not that quite easy to assemble. Written instructions were minimal and were mostly by illustration. I had to undo the wheels because washers were required but were hard to see in the illustration. Lost about 20 to 30 minutes. Some items would not stay in place to screw in. You need either a second person to hold the items in place or do what I did which is use packing tape to hold the items in place while I screwed the items in. Again quite few minutes were lost while I figured this out. The tray was especially difficult to assemble. It took me 20 minutes to study the illustration just to determine how put it together. Then it took another 30 minutes to actually get it on. It should have taken no more than 5 minutes total. I finally finished the stand and put in the screws to the TV (55" Toshiba Fire edition). The screws were too long but the spacers provided where too long. I had to use my own 8 extra washers to fill in the space. Thankfully I had them in hand but it still took extra time to get the them and figure out how many I needed. The top screw needed one washer and the bottom screw needed three washers. Two...
