Critical Reviewer: I don't know how you can safely discharge an arrow when the bag is not thick enough, the arrow just went throw the bag over 4 inches protruding from the other side of the bag, so if you plan to discharge your arrow make sure you don't place the bag close to any object such as a wall because it will hit whatever object is in front of the bag, always make sure to leave a safe distance

MARTIN ABREU BERISTAIN: Excelente, se supone que sirve para parar flechas de ballesta de alto poder para su descarga correspondiente, es decir de cerca, sin embargo, las expectativas se superan por mucho. Como no tengo mi ballesta acá sino con un amigo, hice la prueba con un tiro de mi arco a 320 fps y descubrí que incluso puede servir par tiros de campo con arco cuando se nos halla olvidado el parapente apropiado, las flechas son muy fáciles de sacar y sólo penetro 2 pulgadas, pesa cerca de cuatro kg. con una asa suficientemente apropiada para el peso, aunque su acabado por abajo es con grapas está feo, es un blanco bonito, no tengo duda por las dimensiones y características que cumple su objetivo de parar tiros mas poderosos de una ballesta a corta distancia. me parece un dispositivo excelente.

FD Firefighter 121: I have the very large Yellow Jacket broad-head target but this is handy for a discharge target if your cross bow does not have a unload ability as you can lug it deeper into the woods where you hunt. I have a standard crossbow and a CO2 crossbow so i can use a discharge bolt when necessary or auto unload with the CO2 crossbow. This target is handy as it is not hard to lug around like the full size target, you just have to be more precise in shooting. I use the Rage broad heads with the practice heads so I am sure of my bolt’s trajectory when hunting. I also use a Laserlyte Laser Crossbow Sighter before taking any shots. All these work to ensure I am on target at game or practice or using the bag for a discharge of my bolt. Keep a bolt with a field point or bolt with practice broad head or a full discharge bolt and you are good to go.

Dean: Since moving up to the upper range of compound draw weights (~65-70#) I have had issues with passthroughs on my homemade targets. Bought this thing to give commercial targets a try and I am very impressed. With 70# compound and 450 grain arrows w/field points this target stops the arrows at around 5" of penetration at 10 feet distance, ~3" average penetration at 40 yards. Very easy to pull arrows out as well.

Only issue is the bottom of the target is not perfectly flat and it does not like to stand up straight on its own. I lean it up against one of my old diy targets. I cannot comment on its marketed purpose as a crossbow target, however, doing the math on the kinetic energy of an average crossbow bolt at 450fps, this should be able to easily handle it.

Steven: I was interested in this product so that I wouldn't have to keep my crossbow cocked during the ride home after a hunt. I can't tell you how many arrows I have lost because of shooting them into the ground to decock my crossbow. Instead I would always leave it cocked until I got home, then would discharge in my back yard into my target.

THOSE DAYS ARE OVER!
I can very easily carry this with me to the woods without it getting in the way of anything. It is small enough to tote around and not get worn out with the weight of a decent bag. I just pull it out of the truck after a hunt that I didn't harvest anything and shoot a bolt with a field point into it.

My weapon of choice right now is a Parker MP315. 315 FPS is not the fastest bow on the market, but I will say how impressed I was when at 20 yards my bolt only went in about 2 inches into the target. I would trust this with any bow on the market to not get a blow through. I would NOT use a broad head on it.

I would recommend this portable bag to anyone that wants to decock their crossbow in the field!
