Best of all, it's easy to assemble and makes a great gift for any outdoor enthusiast. Rated highly for overall satisfaction, build quality, and ease of assembly, the Mongoose Dolomite Fat Tire Mountain Bike is sure to exceed your expectations. kevin: First, I'd like to mention that I paid extra for fast shipping and USP "lost" (more likely damaged) my package. I contacted the seller and they immediately issued a reimbursement of my extra cost, and sent another bike. I arrived later than I would have hoped, but it arrived within a reasonable timeframe.
The bike was advertised to me as being tall enough for a 6''3 guy to ride on comfortably, that's not the case. My knees are hella bent. Raising the seat means the handlebar is too low. I bought a handlebar extension but it's not enough. I'll be changing the handlebars for taller ones eventually.
For the price of the big compared to others, I'm happy with the result. I wasn't expecting the delays or the extra costs, but I knew I wanted a bike that could handle someone my size and weight (360lbs) and I'm confident that I found it. I can ride comfortably with the assurance that I'm safe.

Reamer26: As a fairly new mountain biker, I recently had the opportunity to try out the Mongoose Dolomite, and unfortunately, my experience with this bike left much to be desired. While it may seem like an attractive option on paper due to its affordability and fat tire design, it falls short in several key areas, making it a less-than-ideal choice for riders.
One of the major drawbacks of the Mongoose Dolomite is its overall build quality. Right from the start, it became evident that this bike was not built to withstand rigorous off-road trails. The frame feels flimsy and lacks the durability necessary for tackling challenging terrains. Additionally, the components, including the brakes and shifting system, are of subpar quality, leading to frequent adjustments and unreliable performance. These issues greatly compromised my riding experience and left me questioning the bike's longevity.
Another notable drawback is the weight of the Mongoose Dolomite. While fat tire bikes are generally expected to be heavier, this particular model feels excessively bulky and cumbersome. Maneuvering the bike on technical trails or during tight turns requires a significant amount of effort,...

Candice mackenzie: I am absolutely loving this bike! I received it in little to no time at all and the assembly was super easy. I took it out on a back trail the other day and it rides amazing also. Definitely getting your money's worth with this Mongoose Dolomite Bike. I've even suggested it to my friends who bike with me. Haven't bought this good of a quality bike in a long time!

TurboTurbo: Mongoose fat bike
I wanted to buy a year-round bike. Primarily to commute to work and play in the woods with as gas prices have gone up.
I ride rain/sun/snow! Out of the box it was a pretty basic and simple ride. No issues. I did have local bike shop build it as I’ve read reviews of weird issues of pedals stripping and not tuned gears.
It rides well. Fat bikes are very versatile as you add tire pressure for hard packed surfaces and lower it for snowy or loose stuff. I can literally go through anything.
CONS… the gearing is very low. I have to climb quite a hill on my return ride. I literally have to stand and pedal to make it. So I’ve ordered a larger gear setup for the rear 32 tooth and a 32 tooth front chainring. Should make it easier!
I REALLY wanted a Specialized Fatboy, but due to Covid availability and people over pricing them selling used… I decided to make mine a knock-off one haha!
Here’s what I’ve put into it—most of these I either had or got from Amazon!
Purchase price: $440
Decals: $25
Upbike seat post $28
Fenders $100
Bars $35
Valve caps $10
Headset $60 (yet be installed)

C. Barnes: While in Salida, CO last week I visited one of the many bicycle shops and became very interested in a well-appointed fat tire bike (Giant Momentum, $620.) sitting in the window. Having been a life-long bike fan (have owned many) I studied the construction, components, etc., and took an instant liking. Bicycles were all over town and I saw a few fat tires, but only a few, and I continued to evaluate whether I would pursue another bike or not. This was especially difficult due to the fact that my wife had just given me a very nice, new 21-speed Electra "Towney" ($650.) for my birthday about 60 days ago, which is currently parked next to my older Raleigh Chill mountain bike that I used to race as an amateur, and on which I have had countless excursions in pursuit of the "first blood" trophy with my firefighter co-workers. I am obviously now more interested in "cruising." While enjoying Salida a gentleman came along on a fat tire bike and after I complimented him on the bike he almost forced me into riding it, which I did, followed by him explaining that it was a $200. Mongoose with a couple of inexpensive upgrades for additional comfort.
Following the gentleman's advice I...
