Salmons: There was a slight nick in the black finish (I could see silver metal underneath). Had to send it back and not enough time to replace via Amazon. It was a nice weight. Seemed high quality. Too bad it was flawed on arrival. The return process was smooth. No issues.

RM: I ultimately didn't use this because my drain ended up being a non-standard size, but I was impressed with the quality, weight and the finish. I wish it had worked for my situation. It matched quite well with my Kohler brushed brass finish shower head and tub spout.

Michael McCain: Per Youtube it should've taken me 10 minutes per tub (I replaced two tub drains). Unfortunately, because of the previous install, it took me much longer. Constructor/previous owner used silicone underneath the original drains instead of putty. Likewise, and even worse, they didn't use galvanized screws for the overflow drain adapter (where the center screw goes in). Therefore, two drains turned into two hours. That being said, these definitely look much nicer now and seem to function. I did have to confirm in the question section that while they look like the "twist and turn" drain type, you really only pull up and push down. I bought a tub drain tool too...really helped...AFTER I had to exert a lot of force to break the original silicone seal and unscrew the previous drain. I do wish this came with the little aluminum bracket that goes across the overflow drain. I bent one while removing completely corroded screws.

URDUNSON: I was able to purchase this product for half the cost as it must have been a returned item. Product was still in it's original packaging and looked untouched. We are currently in a transition to convert our bathroom to brushed gold accents and this drain kit fit in perfectly. Great quality and looks wonderful in our bathtub.

SunshineSunshine: I changed colors in my bathroom from chrome to brushed nickel so I needed a new drain stopper. This one is solid and the color is beautiful too. It matches with my other Moen attachments. I bought one at a home improvement store…it didn’t have a nice brushed nickel look, was light weight, and felt cheap so I took it back and bought this one through Amazon. After receiving it, I took it to a local plumbing store to verify the thread and size matched up to the one I removed and it did. It didn’t come with the rubber gasket, so I bought one which my setup required. After watching many YouTube videos, I finally found one that was useful, and was able to install it. The plumbing store recommended this putty and it worked so much better than the harder putties and I tried several! To install I first used my hand and turned the drain from left to right, while at the same time applying light pressure on top, then switched to the tool and finished tightening. I kept checking to make sure it was going on straight and that excess putty was coming up all around edges. I had to start over several times until it went on perfect. MylesMyles: Gold matched up 85 percent to the riobel gold fixtures. Most places only sell chrome and most plumbers only carry chrome bit I think matching this with gold is great. Going to probably get a gold handle for the toilet.

Scott: The part arrives at promised. This drain is slightly different that the one I was replacing and because of that threw my for a loop. With the original drain you needed to pull up and twist to hold the drain plug open. This one is simply pull up to open and push down to close.

Installation was really easy. I added some plumbers tape on the threads and some plumbers putty under the lip and screwed it in by hand (making sure not to cross thread). Once it was in hand tight I placed a pair of pliers into the slots and using a Cresent wrench finished tightening the drain. I then removed the excess putting and cleaned up the area. The drain plug was then screwed into the drain. To make sure there were no leaks I filled the tub up with water and marked the level of water. I then left it for 30 minutes and came back to see if the water lever changed. It did not.

All in all the installation was straight forward. The product is operating as it should.
