Susan Huang: Was great when it held in the air, but I found myself pumping it before each use. We just play recreationally on the occasional beach day so I can’t say we’re rough on it. Didn’t seem to want to keep in air since day one but this was ordered in February and we just started using it in July - so way past return window.

Maybe I just got a bad one.

XKueXKue: Overall, I would still purchase the Volleyballs again as my kids like the softness and no sting aspect of these balls. On the downside, because the outside of the balls are very soft it is very prone to gouges. When I peel the inspection sticker from the ball it also left a noticeable mark on the surface seen in the second photo.

wannabe perfectionist 💬wannabe perfectionist 💬: I'm a volleyball addict and I play about 2 to 3 times a week.

Our family joined a local pool club last summer and it had a pool volleyball net so my kids wanted to play with my volleyballs but I know that most indoor and outdoor volleyballs would get ruined over time if they get wet as they are not waterproof so I was looking for a volleyball specific for the swimming pool.

I actually purchased couple of volleyballs made specific for pool but this one is far the best one.
Other pool volleyballs were either way too light or bouncy, almost like a balloon with more weight but this Mikasa Squish volleyball is soft yet feels and plays like a regular volleyball.

It's actually waterproof and is designed for pool volleyball so my kids had a blast playing with it at the pool last summer and it's still in great shape like new so I know they will also enjoy playing with it at the pool this coming summer.

I highly recommend this volleyball for swimming pool or at the beach.

Joshua ChangJoshua Chang: I brought both the Mikasa squish VB and the Tachikara Zebra in order to compare them side by side. Have to say a bit disappointed. Both balls are for recreational play only, they're not up to spec. in term of air pressure for indoor gameplay (around 4.5 lbs) Zebra can be inflated to 4 lbs and Squish can only be inflated to 3 lbs. As the result zebra is a bit more bouncy than Squish. Both balls weight roughly 9 oz inflated. Squish has a glued panel construction and Zebra has a stitched panel construction. Squish looks more round than the ridged look of Zebra due to the construction. Both balls have about the same touch for upper hand pass. On hitting and digging the Zebra feel more squishy like the beach volleyball and the zebra feel more like the indoor volleyball but this difference probably due to the air pressure. I don't feel sting from either balls but I am not the measuring yard stick and "feel" is subjective. Both balls cost about the same and should do fine for rec play.
