Marc: So far all is good using the radios. I can’t speak to the battery life yet as I haven’t used them for long enough periods at a time without charging. Using the radios in a city and get about 0.5 to 0.6 mile range.

BDD: I can't claim to have used them a ton. I bought them for the kids as a Christmas gift, but I also bought them for the family for hikes, camping, and the possibility of an emergency. Bought 2 xtalkers 4 years ago for comparison. I still have the xtalkers, but they def are for back up. The big thing is the range. The gxt's far exceed them, and I haven't really tried to max that out yet. So far houses and trees haven't stopped the gxt. The most impressive test was we and friends went for a hike. I'm not sure how far away they were but at least 2 miles with trees and hills. We're in Colorado. Was very impressed. Xtalkers had trouble even if I could see who I was talking to. I've only charged 1 radio, and that was after finding it when the kids used it, and had left it on. The Xtalkers were always dead because something in my pack would eventually press the power button, and I wouldn't know unless another signal keyed in. Gxt has a knob at the top you twist to turn on. Gxt's are bigger,...

Amazon Customer: We use these for our safety team at large events on our church campus and outside events. We are very happy with them, their range, and clear sound. The ear boom is a little large so we may look into something more concealed but overall a great unit.
