jssochacki: The SacksyThyme Microwave Heating Pad information states that this pad can be used cold. However, it does not get cold enough for comfort. I suppose this is to be expected from an item called, "Heating Pad." When it is heated, this pad is wonderful. It smells great, is soft, and the heat lasts a pretty long time. When it is heated, the pad definitely provides relief.

VJ: I have been receiving treatment for my cancer for over four years now and recently, after surgery, started chemotherapy. Every week I go to the center with my bag of essentials to help me get through the 3+ hour ordeal. Entertainment, drink, snack, tissues, lotion….it’s comforting:)
Sometimes, sleep is all I want to do but the pillows provided are fat, bulky, don’t easily fold and slip all over the smooth chair back, often ending up on the floor. Having a similar pillow at home I thought why not get one to take with me to treatments. I am SO glad I did. I wish I had thought of this sooner. It is the perfect size to slip in behind you to give gentle support without extending your neck. It is just heavy enough to stay in the chair and not fall away if you move. It smells very nice and is another nice little pampering thing while getting one’s treatment. It is worth the little extra weight I Cary in my bag just because it is such a perfect solution. It seems very well made and durable. My only complaint is that it did not come with a pillow cover. These little pillows should have one enclosed as it is nearly impossible to find one to fit. mersenneary: The construction of this is high quality. I love that it has a different fabric on each side so you can choose which is most comfortable to have on your skin. I love that it’s a bit weighted too. I got the fragrance free one and it doesn’t smell like chemicals or anything, just almost like a bit of oatmeal. It retains its heat well. Definitely a great option to buy a high quality heating pad from a small business in the US.
