F. Sledd: I design and build electronic circuit boards, and sometimes I want to modify a design, to add a feature or to fix glitches in the design. The mini-vise, pin chuck, and the micro-drills are perfect for that purpose. I most often use the carbide-tipped bits under 1mm diameter for holes to allow wires or additional component legs to pass from one side of a printed circuit board to the other. The carbide-tipped bits drill easily into resin impregnated fiberglass boards and produce clean-edged holes. The handheld pin chuck allows me to gently apply the needed drill pressure without breaking these tiny bits as one would using a heavy and awkard motorized hand drill. The result is exactly what I need. With my frequent use I will eventually wear out the bits in this kit that I use most, but these should last for many months and are a good value.

Christopher T Haynes: Only came with 7 of the 10 largest size bits. Bit sizes measured with digital caliper only approximately corresponded to the advertised sizes. The bits with colored bands come in a nice case; the others mixed in a single bag: plan to spend time with tweezers and caliper sorting them out. Then store them somehow: a scrap of proto-board was useful for the smallest ones, one per hole, and a SSD card flat case held the intermediate size ones ok. Surface vise is cheaply made, but seems ok for occasional use. Pin vise works ok: able to hold the smallest bit, contrary to the luck some others have reported. I've only enlarged a few circuit board holes so far, which it did ok with a .7mm bit

Matacron Prime: I found myself needing this product due to the fact that I was assembling an armoire, and there was a portion at the end that required you to attach something for which there were no holes pre-drilled. This product was perfect for my needs, and can fulfill the same purpose if needed in the future.

Be careful that you use the correct size attachment. I won't downgrade it, as it was likely my fault, but one of the thinner bits broke the first time I used it.
