CandyRainCandyRain: The media could not be loaded. Looks healthy, and it’s a decent size. It did come with a few ants, but that shouldn’t be too difficult to fix. Im happy with it. It was packed nicely and they arrived much sooner than expected. This will be grown indoors in a container in zone 7! I’ve ordered from Hirts before so I wasn’t too worried.

Paul R. Plante: My lemon tree arrived soon after I placed my order, and was healthy.
The only thing I would say is to be ready to re-pot it when you know it is coming because the pot it comes in is small, and the tree might be root-bound as a result, which was no problem to cure, but could become a problem if the tree is left too long in that small pot.
In response to a question of how long it should take before new growth appears, the literature says to wait a couple of months.
The tree when repotted will appear to just sit there with nothing happening, and then all of a sudden as is happening now with my lemon tree, there will be a rapid spurt of growth which is exciting to watch, so patience is required.
One other tip is to not plant the tree in too big of a pot.
Twelve to fifteen inches deep is what is recommended and only a few inches bigger in diameter than what it came originally potted in.
Good drainage is important as they do not like wet roots.
A recommendation is to add orchid bark to the potting mix to facilitate drainage and root growth.
